Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

This guy's finished and on it's way, can't wait to see it in person:

Thanks James! I keep wondering if the City Knife will get darker with use
Tom, I hope you want it to darken because my guess is it probably will.
I don't have any experience with Zebra Wood but most if not all the other woods I've had, darken over time. Either way those covers should remain good looking and unique.
Really nice, I'm glad you have it. :)

The only knife I've had with zebra wood is a Queen #11 trapper. I gave it to my dad and he's carried it every day for the last year and a half. He was over yesterday and I gave it a quick once over. (sharpened, oiled, rem waxed) As far as color goes, the wood looks the same as the day I pulled it out of the box. It hasn't darkened at all. I'm not an expert as this is my only experience, but I'd say that it shouldn't really darken.

That's the trademark bumble bee, but your take on it adds some light to it. :D

I definitely see it now, but I think my bumblebee visited one too many flowers or something... I just hope he is still capable of flight! :D

Thanks for the information! These are some pretty neat knives, I will enjoy learning about them.

Gotta be ecstatic with those pick-ups, TB!!

That's a super stylish Laguiole with first-rate filework, TB!

Here's a couple of knives I picked up at the local gun and knife show Saturday. A Victorinox Champion (at least I'm quite convinced that's what it is) and an electrician's knife from Colonial:

Thanks, GT, my only conundrum is which ones do I carry first? :D:D

Here are a couple older photos of my Colonial electrician's knife, an advertising jobbie with a rather amusing motto on it.

Kawamura-san's work? Beautiful...:D

I often wonder where Ohta and Kawamura source their stag from. Kawamura always seems to have the best stag possible ever.
My guess was the Sika Deer that is so overabundant over the countryside.

Thanks again James, darker would be fine although it looks good to me as is ;). The pores give it almost a grippy texture.

Awesome, thanks Cory. Hope I don't bore you guys with continued pics of it this week.

Nice electrician, GT! Are the handles bone?

...
Thanks GT! I didn't really know regarding the speckles, this is my first experience with this handle material, so I looked it up :):

"Has a fairly coarse texture and open pores. Grain is usually wavy or interlocked."

So yes? I had been saving my pennies for a wood handled version, and this one just "spoke" to me.

Nice scores, especially that electricians knife!
Thanks, Dean and Tom. :) The handles LOOK good, and I wondered whether they were bone, too. But a closer examination indicates quite clearly that the covers are the typical Colonial "clam shell" construction including a thin layer of plastic of some kind (celluloid?).
Tom, thanks for the info about zebra wood and speckles (aka "open pores" ;)).

You nailed it! I am quite excited to see it in the flesh since I know his pictures do not do justice to his work.

Nice Teardrops those, Queen could develop that pattern a bit more I feel: more shields, different blades and more scale choice, I'm sure people would lap them up.

This is my newest, grainy eh?

Just picked this little Rough Rider Dr.'s knife up for my son... He only turns 3 next week, but his favorite color is green, and when the time is right, he will get this as his first traditional. (For now he has a Theo Klein toy swiss army knife).

I have officially ordered myself to stop until at least February or March. I sold out all of my moderns except my sebenza, and several of my least used traditionals, so my paypal balance was ready to do some spending.

I dont have everything yet, but all in all I ordered over the last couple weeks....

Well selling off about a thousand dollars of moderns gives you some wiggle room.

While hunting for something in ebony I was between the 79 and 73

Don't worry, I'll put it on the list. Eventual goal is one of each pattern number.

A Boker large stockman that arrived yesterday (only my second American Boker ), along with my trusty Cornwall.

Also newly-arrived, a Schrade medium serpentine stockman.
