Paul - these Huckleberries have some great Jigged Bone and yours is a prime example

Just got in this Bark River Springbok, my first Bark River knife, anxious to put it to work.

Curtis - Beautiful Bocote on that Barkie!

After many months of hoping and looking, I finally got my grail knife. A first-run TC Barlow.

Dean - Congrats on that Grail! It is a beauty.:D

Just got this Queen City #41 in Rosewood. The rosewood has beautiful depth to the wood grain and it shimmers in the right light. The F&F is excellent and the blade is nicely centered. Blade pull is a subjective 7 - firmer than most of my other knives but not a nail-breaker. It is a solid knife with some heft and is slightly larger than what I normally carry. Not a fan of the blade etch,

but that will be gone before long.

That's a great Copperhead! I wouldn't worry about that etch, a little Flitz, and a little patina and you will be good to go!:D

(I had a hard time getting decent photos of both of these individually, let alone together. I can usually get decent photos with my Galaxy S4 but had to pull out the Canon DSLR for these.)

this little thing came in today, a schatt and morgan seconds,
that little blade is adorable. im not partial to sheepsfoot blades and have found this very amusing

This one came as a surprise. I did an extraction for a gentleman who was stuck in the mud up here this morning. I knew we would get along just fine when he came walking up to my wrecker wearing a W.R. Case ballcap. We talked about knives a little while I was winching his Subaru out of the mud pit. Well about 2 hours later he came into the office and asked for me. As I came in from the Crusher he called me over and handed me a Case box. He said that he wanted to give me a "tip" for getting his car out. Well this is what he gave me. The best "tip" I have ever received!

That 6.5 stagbone is nice. I have one of those teardrops in it. Case did a nice job on those.

I agree. Case pulled about a 9 on these. Great fit and finish and the pull isn't bad either. The halfstop is perfect. I doubt I'll be using this one. I will just keep it in my collection.

You know I love Davisons Vapor...that looks like its begging to be used. Don't be shy! As for a lanyard, try to find some that people make using the inner strands from paracord or buy some colored stuff and make your own using tutorials and such online. You can find them very easy. Here's one that came on a Dowell that I purchased a while back.

And to keep this thread moving with new additions, I sold away two knives that I really loved, to obtain one very hard to get, beautiful and expertly crafted Bob Dozier Loveless Drop Point Hunter in Desert Ironwood, 3/16" 154CM and thin red liners, just like Loveless designed them to be. This is the 3-5/8" bladed version. Made by Bob Dozier in 2009. (excuse the lint on the blade)

Um, WOW.

Congratulations.

What's the over-all length?

Thanks Sarah, it's 8-1/8" OAL. Here's a pic from the underside so you can see how Dozier sculpted the handle on this one. Very svelte with that nice swell at the end. With the swell end and the guard, your hand quite literally locks into the knife. The Loveless designed sheaths are something else that shows his eye for not only beauty but also function. As you can see, the mouth of the sheath is flared open so that it's easy to return the knife. The guard locks into a notch that is cut into the welt inside. To pull the knife out, you grasp the end of the handle and push your thumb against that flare and the knife will pop out of it's "lock". This knife will absolutely not come out of the sheath without this pulling/pushing motion and that swell at the end of the handle allows you a good purchase for doing this.

Sorry for the fingerprints on the steel, I just oiled the knife up prior to the pics and I see a couple of snowflakes decided to photo bomb the sheath!

That's a wonderful Dozier, Jake. Congrats on acquiring that one.

This medium stockman arrived this morning.
tHoPP2zl.jpg

I ordered it as a companion knife to my Texas jack, which would involve a tea soak to darken the handle scales, maybe forcing a patina on the blades, not really a problem to do, both the clip and sheepfoot blades have some rub marks and there are slight gaps between the back springs and the side scales none of which bother me.

However the problem that has surfaced, is that despite how we mostly seem to big up CV blades i re discovered this little nut in my Case cigar box it was gifted to me by a fellow forumite on a UK forum, i picked it up felt the smooth opening action and how easily the edge came scalpel sharp and having been reading and enjoying the "The Older i Get" thread i was lost, so it is back to the mighty Peanut as my only EDC. At least until i get a hankering for a stockman, that reminds me i have a Hen & Rooster stag stockman inbound but that is ten or so days away. Funny old lot us knife nuts aint we ?

Found these two in a pawn shop bargain bin
They were very crusty, but appeared undamaged with almost full blades, both are 1970 10 dots.

Just cleaned them with a little flitz, no buffing
I never buff the blades, just clean them and resharpen

$30 out the door for both, I had to try really hard to not skip out the door like a little kid

Fantastic find for both of those! Very nice! I really like the contours on the canoe.
