Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Hooo boy, yesterday was a busy one. I received a few really exciting packages.

First up, the infamous Christy Knife. I just had to get one of these little guys. Family owned business in the US since 1891? You bet your biscuits I'm buying a knife from your company!

Next, was (another) package from Ryan (556Hunter) that contained some real gems. First, a Boker Tree Brand Barlow and an old bare head Ulster Jack Knife.

And finally, a Northfield 77 Barlow in Red Saw Cut handles emerged from the tube!

Thanks, again, Ryan!

this came in today

always wanted one of these, ever since i saw them at the walmart. sort of underwhelmed?

Understood. I hope it's only a minor issue for you. Looks like an outstanding knife. Congrats!

it is, thanks! ive wanted one since I was a kid. ive always loved bowie knives for some reason. there is something about that blade profile that just does it, clip points man, clip points

So there was this one -or the whisky bone clip point CV- Not a lot of difference between the bone -harvest orange vs whisky-
The drop point sold me- be nice if it came in CV.
And I procured this Joker from the Sydney Knife Show today- I went hoping to get something with Rams horn -and this was about the best I saw. The show was great -not huge ,mainly focused on makers more than production knives. Therefore some of the prices were as jawdroppingly huge as the knives were jawdroppingly beautiful. I also got some buffalo horn scales and a beautiful piece of Gidgee wood for projects.

I agree about the drop point on that Russlock, I have one in Second Cut Crimson Bone with the same blade and it is indeed an impressive blade that almost seems too large for it's frame. I have a clip point Russlock too, but I like the drop point better.
I also have a Joker, (fixed blade called the Torcaz), but with stag handle as opposed to rams horn. Really like the handles on yours, very nice indeed. Made in Spain, they seem to be very well made, and the quality of the stag, rams horn & bone they use seems top notch. Yours is the first Joker folder I've seen.....looks like something I simply MUST have.

Wow, I didn't know that these knives are still made. Shame on me. All the things you learn.. :)

The KaBar Coppersmith stockman has been on my want list for some time. Picked this beauty up on the forum earlier this week.

There's a knife on my bucket list, to have one from the original has got to be a big score. IIRC Bull Dog knives made version, even that would be a score as you rarely see either available anymore. Great score :)

Been staring for a while at this 15 with a razor primary and pen secondary, and finally pulled the trigger.

The pen blade is a good compliment to the razor, so you have at least one with a normal point

Just finished prepping this one for pocket time...
