Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

About two weeks ago I received a package in the mail. I opened it to discover that my best friend had sent me a bunch of his older slipjoints, many of which I recognized from back when we both were mostly-broke college-students. Great memories and a wonderful gift!

Top row: Boker #8288SS pen knife with bone scales
USA-made Coca-Cola novelty keychain knife

2nd row: Kershaw #4300 "Justin" pen knife with wood scales
Craftsman #9507 (Ulster #180) dogleg jackknife with synthetic scales

3rd row: Craftsman (Camillus) #95072 medium stockman with synthetic scales
Queen Steel #35B small stockman with etched master blade and synthetic scales

4th row: German-made barlow knife with clamshell handle covers and synthetic (celluloid?) scales

I did the traditional cleaning, oiling, chicken-eyeing and coon-fingering of each of my new treasures. They all cleaned up beautifully. They may not all be collectibles, but to me they're priceless!

Todays mail delivery brought me a Case Mini Copperhead... Who would have thought the postoffice would deliver on Sunday, but Amazon pays them to do so.

I got a Case Magicians Tear Drop model knife. Unlike my Mini Copperhead it came in a Tin instead of a box. If you have not heard about these one side is red bone and the other is green bone. The idea is for magic tricks to make it seem like its all one or the other color and change back and forth. It works better when you have a second knife that is all one of the two colors to be able to hand to a person to "prove" its all one color. Its got a low pull which is nice since there is not enough of the blade showing to pinch it open. Its about the same thickness as the mini copperhead. For the size of the knife it feels slim. With the blade shape, pull, and size it feels like a SAK in my mind. Not a bad thing. Case could have done a much better job at sharpening it. I was worried the scales would look plastic from the stock photos. They look fine in person. They are a bit hard to photograph. It does fit well in the hand and gives a four finger grip.

A gec saddle trapper. Rcmaz graciously sold it to me. I wasn't crazy about acrylic but when I opened and saw the coffee house, I found I like it. Got it all sharpened up and ready for use and develop my own patina.

Acquired this Browne & Pharr 4 blade, factory new condition from Mr R. Browne directly, from his remaining knives, couldn't be happier[emoji106]

Very, very cool! I didn't know they made 4 blade versions. Congratulations.

I got this a couple of weeks ago but never got around to posting it. An inexpensive new-old stock Camillus Electrician knife:

I have that same model without the number, and also had the same feelings about acrylic, but now its one of my favorites! Mine has a totally different pattern to the acrylic though, pretty cool stuff

Big pay check at the end of a job meant I was finally able to splurge again, first new knife for 8 or 9 months!

Been wanting another Congress for a while, and couldn't pass up on this magenta bone Case. Been in my pocket since it came late last week. Love it!

Cases' idea of a spear blade shape on the main, and mine are two different animals; I think the blade tip is an odd shape, but it'll get used none the less I'm sure!

Sent from far too fancy of a device for this far intro the woods...

Jamie sold me this 38 Farmer's Jack. The pattern is a great favourite of mine, the 38 frame in this or Whittler form offer a fantastic user with remarkable quality of construction. It's also my first Camel Bone knife and I'm very impressed with the stuff, the scales are thick and have interesting large pores, I wonder if it is as durable as Bovine Bone though?

I've been hunting for a #33 Conductor Whittler since I learned of their existence and I was fortunate to win the auction for this one. I can hardly wait to get it sharpened up and put to use!

Really nice Greg,
Please give us an update when you try it out in one of the whittling threads.
Cheers mate
