Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My Cody Scout #72 burnt Stag#14 came in today and I'm very happy with it . Wanted a natural Stag but the one left I just couldn't fall in love with so picked a nice burnt stag.
Walk and talk is outstanding on this one .
Super happy 👍

My burnt stag 73 showed up a couple days ago. Pictured with my trusty 77 for size reference. I had it in my mind that the 72 was going to be bigger than what I usually carry. As you can see from the images the 72 is similar in frame length to the 77.

Wow!!

Hot diggity boys, those #72s are spectacular!
I got mine yesterday and it's been in the pocket ever since!

It's already got a pork patina! The walk and talk is great. Little play in all four directions which drives me a little crazy as blade play is my sticking point, but I dropped some oil into the action and it magically tightened up... I read on another thread that the oil could act as a lock similar to hydrolics, or something like that??? Anyhow, it worked and I've thrown my own edge on the blade and it's ready to roll!

That is absolutely gorgeous!!
Just got mine and I'm not feeling any play in any direction but in all fairness I haven't cranked on it very hard .
Heck it still has puppy breath lol😊
But centering is dead nuts .
I have a feeling this is going to be my new secondary carry 👍

Oil helped my GEC Wallstreet a lot. I think there was a little bit of grit in the lock from manufacturing. Using oil might have loosened things up and caused the lock to engage deeper into the notch in the tang.

Factor, I'm loving your burnt stag!
Most of the stag I have had has been burnt stag, I think it's great! I see no major difference from the natural stag.

Harry, your #72 is something special!
Once it gets some age to it that think is going to be too much! I'm envious now, but once that warmth of age sets in, look out!

The-Stig, I appreciate the info! That makes sense, I'll add some more and see how it goes!
I know not all lock backs have play, so I know this one will be good to go!

Thanks Johnny I appreciate it but think I might hunt me down a natural Stag in the future just to have .
I did test mine a little harder and there is a touch of play but not much and tried the oil trick and it snugged it up pretty good.
Normally that would bother me but knowing that it probably would going in and it's characteristic for a back lock I have no problem with it .
Congrats again on your beautiful choice of Stag 👍

I sure do enjoy seeing all these stag #72s everyone is getting.

I wasn't too sure if I should get the Violet Pioneer Bone 72, but...

...I think I may have been given a sign from above. :D:eek:

That's just perfect Barrett. Harry you need to save this picture one for yourself...

Thanks Steve and Barrett !!! I think I will !! Can't say that I had ever heard that saying before .
