Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

That bolster indentation is done that way at the factory on purpose. It prevents a snag area. GEC has done that all along on all their patterns.

Thanks. It's still in Chicago atm, I think it should arrive sometime next week or so. Takes a bit longer to get it across the pond. :D I was concerned because there was no update on the location for almost a full week, I got scared they misplaced it. :S

Yes: That makes me nervous too. USPS doesn't update their first class and priority mail at every stage. Depends on if the postal worker scans it or not. My knife was still in Wisconsin until it was delivered in my mailbox in Maryland this afternoon::confused:

My newest addition just arrived in todays' mail. The DLT SFO 74.

The bone match is very good. Pull is a little strong but we'll see. I like this blade shape for this knife.

Yes it does have a tiny bent over area in the mark side bolster where a groove in the jigging goes right under the bolster. From dead on top you can't see it?

I did not get a picture but the centering is dead on. Altogether a really nice piece.

Very nice. That jigging and that shield look great! Well done!

Picked up this #53 Stockman in Stained Green Tea Bone and 440C last Wednesday on The Exchange. I'm using the seller's pic with permission as I didn't have time for my own photos today.

Several years ago I owned one just like it but it was an unserialized version. I almost forgot how much I like this pattern. It's the only GEC Cuban I currently own.

Looks good, Rick!

FANTASTIC knife John:cool: I have the same knife and Love it. I bought it from Barry off the exchange with very minor flaws that Barry disclosed in the post. Honestly, so minor they are non issues. The mind blowing swedges and impressive blade profile just make for an AWESOME knife:thumbup:

If I have a day of cardboard tear down it's in my pocket. The 154cm just holds a great edge and is hands down way more fun than a box cutter:D

I took this picture on our frieght elevator with the doors open on a overcast day. I just loved how it highlighted all the great lines of this knife:thumbup:

Yes, I'm really impressed with it. The fit and finish area absolutely flawless. And the wedges really are mind blowing! That's a great picture of yours, too! This is one knife that will be with me for a long time.

Thanks! I've been hunting for one of these for quite a while. :)

I can see why , I really love how the lines flow and that Blade is sexy as heck ! That bolster is sweet to [emoji41]

That's a grand find Rick. Long Turkish Clip, but how's the opening on it given the nail nick is set so far back? Is it tough to open? Very nice bone too and I always appreciate GEC's stainless, just too rare though!

Thanks, Will

Thanks, John and Will.

Great looking Lanny's Clips there guys!

Will, no problem opening the Clip blade or the other two blades. The nail nick is actually well placed although it might not appear so in the photo. Blade pulls are firm but still user friendly. Maybe about a 7 on the pull scale for all three blades with no half stops.

It's been so long since I've handled a #53 Cuban that I had forgotten the nail nick for both the Clip and Sheepsfoot blades is on the mark side. I like that because those are the two blades that I'll use the most. I'll have to get another pic later but the blades all have a very low profile when closed. Even the Sheepsfoot blade sits way down there compared to most Stockman patterns.

Thanks Rick. I've never had a 53/4 frame although the Cuban Pen has tempted me at times. I remember Jeff enthusing about the low riding nature of the blades, it's what I like in a Stock-knife too, that's why I like the GEC Dixie. Why can't they make a 3 3/8" version though? A humpy Sheepfoot can make for uncomfortable handling I've found.

Very nice. That jigging and that shield look great! Well done!

Thanks John: I like it. Some guys on another thread said they would not buy it because of this shield? Didn't matter to me, but I like the shield and it's one of the reasons I went with it.

Alan, I agree. The shield and jigging make the knife.
John, that Lanny's is something special. Between your pics and Paul's I'm lucky they aren't readily available or Santa might have to make a return trip.
I saw that 53 Rick. Very attractive. The long slender Turkish clip is the only thing that holds me back.
