Being new at this, I find I'm gravitating to the Barlow: large bolster means room for artwork and one or two very useful blades. I've been holding off on a TC for some reason or other when the pristine one on the right came up on the exchange. Couldn't resist. While I don't like the idea of not using a knife I just couldn't put this one in my pocket, that's how sweet it is. Then another peach seed TC, a nice user, came up. Problem solved! That's the one on the left.

I have the user out at lunch right now. The Queen will also come out for special occasions (well maybe, we'll see).

I'm almost in the same place with the Charlie SFOS. I can't bring myself to carry them. So, I look for plain versions of the same. Nice that you found a user 15TC!

I like the vintage look of this photography, Bugdoc! It suits to the Barlows.
The dyeing of the bone looks different on these two, or is it just the light on the picture?

Picked up a couple of Queens today. Both appear to be unused and unsharpened. However, the scales appear to be turning a greenish color where they meet the brass liners and near the bolsters. I believe the scales are bone. The Stockman is a #49 pattern, I believe, also known as Cattle King. The 4 blade congress is 4" long and possibly a #32 pattern.

Just pulled out of the tube .
My Gec#13 Sambar Stag Speaker Jack arrived and it has wowed me in every area[emoji106] One of the best Gec's I've ever owned , from fit and finish to walk and talk . Perfect blade centering on both blades and what a sweet pull on both with a nice snap , beautiful Stag and smooth at all transitions.Think I'm in love !

Found the first one when I kept checking every few minutes during a hockey game, not my usual style on the exchange. Second one turned up early one Sunday morning, guess everybody was still asleep. I'm avoiding the exchange for a while :p

I seem to always miss the ones I want on the X. It's a timing thing for sure. I like having two of some patterns. Some are different covers, but the same frame and blades.

The 2015 BF knife. What can I say. When it first came out I passed on it because although I appreciated everything about it, the style just wasn't for me and I didn't buy it just to have it. Of course by the time that mistake sunk in it was too late. I can't tell you how many times I missed acquiring one, even though I lived on the sales exchange. That's all finished now. Thankfully, I have in hand a magnificent example of how a simple design can be both beautiful and useable.

I know there are many to thank for the work that went into bringing this knife to fruition. Just like my planned Oscars acceptance speech there is little time, so I just want to say "THANKS CHARLIE".

Sadly it is too late to appreciate the company that produced this knife, as they are no longer around. It's ironic too that I must have past their factory many times over the years as Ellenville is just north of NYC in the Catskills where I've spent much time. Oh well, at least I have something that will be with me because this is a real keeper.
