Nice Canoe Gary! That one covers all the bases! -Lance
Love the shield on that one!!!
That is some great jigging and the shield is fantastic!
Thanks, guys. :) The shield is definitely outstanding.:cool::thumbsup:

Here are a couple of more knives I picked up from the Exchange, back around Christmas (thanks, Lance). Both are Case products, one canoe and one stockman, and both are IMHO excellent!

I'm glad you're enjoying those, Gary! They're two fine knives. -Lance

My catches from the Badger Knife Club show this past weekend:

From the top, a Dave Ricke custom, Hibbard Spencer Bartlett Hardware serpentine 2 blade Jack with exquisite celluloid scales, and a 1980 Case Appaloosa 2 blade Torpedo Jack.
Three nice looking acquisitions my friend . Did you like the show enough to want to go back next year ????

I liked it very much Harry and plan to go again. I had a good talk with Mr. Nowland. He didn't have much left by Saturday afternoon but we spent time looking at his gallery of knives. I think I will be buying something from him. (Heard you have something on order too )

I think that would be a great move on your part !!!! I did get to talk with Rick Nowland early on Friday when he had a number of knives on hand . Every one was a Jewel too . My problem with most of his and others is that they are Too Short . I prefer something 3 & 5/8 to 4 & 1/4 . I believe that Rick Nowland , Ken Coates , & Mike Zcherney all could make me a very fine knife at a reasonable price . I showed each of them one of my knives that I would like to be Almost Copied . That is something that has been banging around more in my mind .

In the dictionary there is a definition for the word 'funky'. I think this says it better. I know there were several size/variations of the Schrade wire Jack. This one is 3 3/16" closed. I couldn't resist it. I cleaned it, put an edge on it and oiled it.
Now, does anyone know how to date this one? All help and comments appreciated.

I got the idea that Rick is willing to work with the customer. Have you asked him about a knife in that size range?

These two fantastic A.G. Russell knives arrived today. Fit & finish and overall quality are top notch. Very impressed as I've always been with Mr. Russell's knives. The pictures don't do them much justice. They just scream quality when I hold them in my hand.

They both totally rock but the 3 5/8" Gunstock is my favorite.

I also received this Bark River t-shirt that was a gift from a friend. Pretty awesome too. Especially considering that I didn't know what was inside the box until I opened it.
