To all of you enablers out there, (You know who you are) Thanks! ;) I kept seeing all of your beautiful 44s, and reading all of your thoughts regarding them, and could no longer resist. I picked one up, after initially passing, and I’m really glad that I did. :D  -LanceC438897E-6441-4C6E-A51F-A16CA4F2D205.jpeg

Not a wood fan historically but the ebony on the 44 is my favorite by far. Pure class

Taylor Schrade 16OT
Picked up a couple new made Schrades today, to good a deal to pass up. 10 each on clearance. Fit'n'Finish and walk'n'talk really good on both, except 16OT bit gritty. No play or wobble in either, everything flush and centered.124 is probably a 6 pull, and snaps positive open and shut. 16OT hawkbill is a solid 8 very positive snap on open, really strong spring on this one. Snaps closes to. Opening it a bit tough and gritty just before it cams open. I haven't flushed and oiled yet, so that's bound to improve.
Edit: the 124 came with a really nice belt pouch, good thick leather. Its every bit as good as the pouches on my older Schrades or the Buck 110s pouch.

Dwight, is this a GEC or? It sure checks my want list. :)
I apologize for not identifying it Dave. It's a Jeff Mitchell custom I picked up off the exchange. Overall length 3 5/8", blade length 2 5/8". Giraffe bone and CPM-154. It is a very well made knife and "secondary" price was very reasonable. Same here, it checked a lot of boxes.

Very very nice my friend, I'm not jealous I just want one lol. :p
