I came the long way 'round on the #13. When the run was first announced, I made a post hoping for this exact configuration. Lo and behold, they actually made it; I couldn't have cared less by the time they were made. It's too big for me, I feared. It called me all this time, though, with its siren song of beauty.
I'm so happy to have it in hand now, as it is thin and light. I find GECs to always be heavier than there appearance, but not in this case. Thank you,Nature Boy .

That feathering is terrific, the mark side especially!Got this for Christmas and wow is it a nice knife!View attachment 1043227 View attachment 1043228
You pulled that off in your sick bed? Can't imagine what you'd snag under full power! Here are mine. I have managed to acquire all these over the last week from a hospital bed. Not a bad Christmas haul...

Congrats on this coming into your life! That was no safe queen for sure.Today my dad gave me a better knife than I could have ever asked for, an 8ot that belonged to my grandfather. Apparently my dad found it recently. I never knew my grandfather, so having his knife that is also the same brand and pattern that I prefer means a lot to me. I was more excited to receive this than the last ten knives I got combined.

Ship shape in Bristol fashion I'd say Gary. Here's a set of knives I ordered on Black Friday. Cannon Sailor Knives with stainless blades, brown hardwood handles, bails, 3 7/8" closed, with inlaid anchor shield. They arrived in a display box:

The bottom blade is advertised as a "modified tanto", but I'll probably think of it as a coping blade on steroids. Here's a pic of the pile side of that knife; the wood is actually much nicer than I expected!

The sheepsfoot in the middle is a hefty blade. I've been considering these knives for a long time; their price suggested that they were probably junky knives, but I find an anchor shield almost irresistible!

Although the top knife in the display box above obviously has a spearpoint blade, the ads call it a drop point. This pic shows that the blade etch on each knife is kind of cool, too.

I haven't used the knives much yet, but my initial impression is that they are actually NOT junk, and I have no regrets about ordering them.

Individually they are fabulous Marneaus, but together truly a treat for the eyes. Congrats.I just landed these 3 traditionals last week to close out my year. An older (1998) but new Case Copperlock in Appaloosa, an older but new Case Small Stockman in stag, and the GEC #99 in stag. The case locks up like a bank vault, the GEC has what appears to be the typical vertical play.
Love em both though!

I can just feel that warmth of those covers in hand. I can't tell, is it a serpentine?Holy smokes it’s a big one for sure...

Anyone know any more info on the single knife I posted above by Schatt and Morgan?
Very nice Gary, I have always thought that Rough Rider does an excellent job when it comes to covers whether it's Ram's horn, Stag or the jigged bone on your PeanutAnother of the knives I ordered on Black Friday is a Rough Rider peanut in amber jigged bone. The first Rough Riders I ever ordered (a set of 12 assorted patterns) had those covers, and it has been one of my favorite covers from RR ever since. I've been purchasing RR knives for almost 5 years, but this is the first RR peanut I've ever had. I'm very happy with it!

Hey GT, I've only been buying RR for a few months and really don't have a large base to judge by, but does it seem to you the quality of the fit'n'finish has gone up lately? The ones I bought just before Christmas seen to be especially superb. You'd have to be super picky to find flaws in them imo. Like most I've been blown away by their quality vs price from the start.
