Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Thanks to @rockgolfer s' cool scavenger hunt thread, where Wurrwulf Wurrwulf graciously donated it, and the rest of yall for apparently not having any mistletoe on Christmas ;) :p, I am the proud owner of this feller as of last evening!

I'd seen these for sale ever since they came out, and debated about it off and on, but never saw actual knife pics, just dealer stock images, and the wood all looked so dull and flat... If they're all like this, Case sure missed the boat on their sales imagery!!

I didn't really want a prize, I just have fun participating in things. But when I saw this in the pool it was; WOW! that wood really pops! :D Just had to have it if possible.

Definitely not disappointed, it's even more beautiful in person!
Congratulations, that's a very nice knife.
And thanks to Wurrwulf Wurrwulf for his generosity.

A BEAUTY D.P.H. not odd at all. I surprised myself for liking it so much:thumbsup: hey Micarta (Westinghouse) has been around for over a hundred years, so very traditional in my book;)

Thank you! There's just something about it. For me I love the tactile response and the weave pattern. It's just great material all around. I'll have to post a photo of a 77 Barlow I have re-covered with old Westinghouse micarta. It's truly unique stuff.

You're not alone. Micarta is one of my all-time favorite cover materials, natural canvas being my preference by far.

Glad to be in good company. I'm with you, it's one of my all time favs as well! I find comfort in knowing it'll last almost forever and I can hand it down to my kids almost unchanged...maybe?

I love GEC's natural canvas! That one is gorgeous. I'm still waiting on the right pattern to pop up for me. Maybe the #29? Until then its green canvas for me.

Thank you! Oh man, I've been wanting a 66 in that micarta for a very long time. Yours is a beauty for sure. I dig the light too! What light is it? I was a Flashaholic long before I was a knife nut. I should post some old lights that I have.

Thank you. Sorry, I moved my pic. I thought this was the carrying today thread. The light is the Muyshondt Aeon mkiii S2 version in blackwell finished titanium. Absolutely great EDC light but obscenely overpriced imo. Oh well, the money is spent so I'll just enjoy. It's a great companion to the #66. I do love the durability of gec's canvas micarta.
