Boy that bone is great!I've been looking to add a Eureka Jack for a while now, and was lucky to find this one. I think the Elderberry Jigged Bone is just beautiful. I see a lot of pocket time ahead for this one -- what a great pattern!

Those are hard to come by for sure. Congrats on the findThis one got to the Post Office on 1/29. I just picked it up this morning. A Victorinox Scientist. I've been looking for one of these ever since I became aware they existed. I have a couple of Waiters and Explorers that I intend to use as donor knives to make one, but haven't got around to it yet. And I've never disaasembled two knives to make one, so it remains to be seen how successful that endeavor will be. But I digress.
Its a little beat up. but all the parts are there and everything works. Even the ink pen. I think its been carried a lot, but used little. All the pretty ones I've found for sale were priced way beyond what I was willing to pay - hence the, thus far unrealized, Frankenstein Plan B.
I'm extremely pleased View attachment 1738771

Nice John, I really like the clip on the 47.
I agree with you on the elderberry, and, if you're like me, it most definitely WILL see a lot of pocket time.... congratulations on your new Eureka!I see a lot of pocket time ahead for this one -- what a great pattern!
Well done Leon! Now it’s time for a full report, with pics!Have curtailed my purchasing, trying to reign in my spending. But when to quote a famous movie line " Someone Makes Me An Offer I Can't Refuse ", what is a knife guy supposed to do. This was an offer to good to pass up, considering what i accumulate. A Sheepsfoot, and 2 Lambsfoot, at the correct pricing, eg.-cheap..

Going to clean them up first which is always my standard practice with a new purchase, but strictly between you and me, and no one else, because we can't discuss purchasing on Bladeforums.Well done Leon! Now it’s time for a full report, with pics!![]()
Elderberry Jig is certainly very worthy stuff, have a Dixie in that but the star has to be a Dixie Stag. You landed a fine example there and I'd say well worth the wait too. For a big knife these are so sleek and the blade arrangement original and practical. Well doneI agree with you on the elderberry, and, if you're like me, it most definitely WILL see a lot of pocket time.... congratulations on your new Eureka!

And this, kids, is why you don't leave your knives laying too close to the oven.... they will wrinkle up, and never be the same....
