Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I have a few that have come in over the last month. I go for years without a new knife, and then "BAM!!!", a bunch all at once. I don't buy much other than traditionals these days.

I really like the smooth bone feel and the lock backs. I have two #99 Wall Streets and can pinch drop them open and close with one hand. A left over "like" from my Spyderco days--only kept my PM2.

I'll put a few of my smooth bone collection in a photo in another thread.

The new run of 15s are amazing! The F&F on mine is pretty much perfect. This one came in the mail and went directly into my pocket.

Heres a new SAK that Paul gifted me this past week. Gotta say it does have a lot of handiness where all the blades are concerned.

nothing fancy, just a 50th Aniversary Buck 110. It should go well with the Buck 389 I ordered.
 
Just got a real monster in the mail today. It's a ring lock/saddle spring folder, which I've really been into lately. I suspect it's of European provenance, although it's unmarked. Could be French, Italian, or maybe even Spanish. Heck, could even be German or British; this pattern has historically been seen all over the continent.

Handles are a super-dense, pitch-black wood with a VERY tight grain, which I can only guess must be ebony. I know it's not painted black, because there are a few chips in one spot, and the color is just as dark in the interior of the wood. The blade is carbon steel, a really nice leaf shape, and is just about 99.999% full; hasn't seen much sharpening at all. In fact, upon closer inspection, it appears that it may even still be sporting the "factory" edge. The spring tension is very strong, and the whole knife is extremely well built, very robust. No side-to-side wiggle at all. The handle measures 7.125" with a blade of 5.25".

I think it's really cool. Hope you guys like it too!

I'd be interested to know if you can get a very sharp edge on that big knife, and then how well it held up when you used it.

It was a good day for me. Two knives from auction.

The first is a grail of mine, a Camillus manufactured Remington R-4 UMC scout knife. I've wanted one of these for many years, and finally found one that I could afford. Very nice flt and finish for a 3-layer slip.

The second is just a Camillus TL29. Call it a "budget GEC #15". It needs lot of work, but I got it cheap. It'll make a good project knife.
