Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

How do you know its Queen made? Were these pre GEC? I assume this is not 1095 steel then?

When Dave Shirley owned the Northwoods brand, the company was located in Gladstone, MI. (visible on the tang stamp). Most, if not all, of the Northwoods folders during this era were produced by Queen. Many are D2 steel.

The brand was then sold to Derrick Bohn (KSF), and the KSF company still owns it today. GEC produces this line for KSF.

I just received this knife as a gift from our friend in France, Jean-Marc Ƃchillepattada Ƃchillepattada
I am going to have to investigate it more as I'm afraid I don't know too much about knives from France.
I do know it's a very cool mix of working knife and elegance. It has a slim handle, large blade, with a spike on the opposite end.
From my very quick investigation, it seems Shepards would use the spike to poke holes in livestock's abdomens to relieve bloat... pretty cool.
Thank you very much Jean-Marc my friend. I will cherish it always.

A gift from Bart Sacto Sacto
He had modified the blade and handle covers
Much more useful and comfortable now I must say
Thank you Bart and Job well done.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
This is going to see a lot of carry time...

I took to em with a file..blocky uneven thickness bolsters...pocky pin jobs...Check out how one spine is not the same...
The plus side is they are superbly built...they lock strongly and no play in any. That plus I get a fun and interesting project .šŸ‘
