Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Swiss Army Farmers knife.
First one since about 20 years or so and I’m impressed 👍🏻

New Boker Copper Integral Micarta arrived. New boxing, and carry case with the knife. Nice touch. Everything is smooth and well-fitted. Blade is just barely off center, good pull (for me, probably weak for others). Sharp. Stabby. Snappy at open, half-stop, and close. Needs a little flush and lube, slight roughness when opening. Tiny amount of daylight between one liner and spring, and I do mean tiny, I almost missed seeing it. Nice knife. :)

Wasn't sure I'd be a big fan of the smooth brown micarta, but it feels good in the hand. Love the copper, going to be interesting to see how this ages over time. I'm looking forward to picking up one of these in Desert Ironwood.

Very nice Gordon. That copper is going to look great as it ages. The action is fantastic and it just gets better and better. Love mine. 😊👍

Thanks. I'm going to do a round or three of an oil flush & lube, and exercise the action this weekend. I expect most of the minor roughness/ grittiness will work out quickly. :)
Mine still has some, I don’t know if I’d call it gritty, but it isn’t buttery smooth either and I’ve worked it quite a bit. Do you think it has anything to do with the acid wash?

I doubt it. I have some of the same feel on other knives with polished stainless, satin stainless, carbon... Once any grit/ gunk is washed out, if any remains I thinks it's just going to take time and a lot of openings to smooth things out. My one GEC has what I'd call a sticky action, not gritty but not smooth. A couple of my Boker knives are the same. From the selection of knives I have, it seems to be most prevalent on knives with stronger pull. My Boker Grenadilla Bokers have pulls that for me are close to nail-breaker, and they are definitely not smooth. Much better than when new, but still not anything close to what I would consider a smooth action.
