Since the new year.... purchased an Urban Trapper with cocobolo, a Benchmade Proper (really like that one with a suspension clip), and a Rat 2 in D2. Had gift cards to dispose of so.... why the heck not. I have also retired a few knives. One of my Rats in my work knife rotation broke (my fault) and I lost a Leatherman Juice hiking in the snow shortly after the new year. Good thing I have several copies of that one.

So, I am actually "on schedule" and within budget. I just got my first LT Wright - Beautiful little Coyote arrived yesterday.

BUT!!! I almost missed it entirely. I considered buying it during the holidays, but decided to wait. Bad move! They discontinued the knife and it went from me having lots of choices, to, "I think I got the next to last Coyote to be found anywhere on the web". I may have to rethink this whole schedule / budget thing.... Particularly since I just saw Real Steel's just released Metamorph in Blue.

So far I have followed my early feelings about buying knives this year.... zero purchased so far (Feb 7th). A lot of tempting stuff came out of the SHOT show however and I know later on I will be buying a few. I'm hoping to hold back the buying dam until March or April....

ZT 0850 - In transit. No idea if I'll like it or not, but I've been drawn to it since first sightings last year and nobody ever sent me one to sharpen. Finally bit the bullet.

@Darrin Sanders custom fixed blade - commissioned, but 4-6 months out.

Only other thing I'm interested in is a ZT surprisingly enough, the new 0609.

Wow, two perplexing things. First is the Spiderco folder that I would actually touch with a 10' pole. Normally Spidie folders have less than zero attraction for me but I like that one.
The other thing that has me puzzled is one of the 3 cartridges that you used for the backdrop.
The shortest is almost certainly the .45 ACP, the long rifle cartridge is probably a 30-06.
What the hell is the middle one with the hollow points? Looks like a shrunken 30-30 with that soft shoulder, but it's too short. Too big to be .22 hornet. Any chance it is a 7.62 x 39? If not, what the hell is it??? This is the type of crap that keeps me up nights.
