Evening Sidewinder;

Wish i had the time to post image earlier, but hey times are bad here. I'm surprised our little firm hasn't filed for bankcruptcy yet:eek:

~~waitasec, just realized can't attach any image in here, have to get myself one of those free virtual drives, brb.

Right, there you are:
fdff44a6.gif

I owe inspiration to safariland, ASP, molle, SOG, Blackhawk, Wegner and many more (yik I just stirfried bits and pieces in a wok.)

The suspender has two 6" mounting strips on both sides that will accommodate any pouch fitting standard 11/2" belt, mounting vertically or horizontally. As load increases i just hook on more elastic bands to offset the weight and for a snug fit.

A non-firing Glock is there for fun, the hoslter mounts on the mag pouch which also mounts on your wrist when taken apart.

The whole rig snaps off without having to mess with the belt, and i can hook it up to a modifed 95-Type backpack. It doesn't cut the neck as is, but still a good idea to snap some pads on. The poto tries to show the rig/pack riding INSIDE a BD chest harness, but that takes A LOT of fiddling....hv to think again

I'm gonna mass produce this sucker in shocking pink webbings, and market them to those freaked out chicks so they don't loose their fancy mobile phones and their cute Sony PDAs at rave parties~ :D

10 things?

Wow, let's see.
try 5 to all of the below:

Seiko 5 SS watch
Oakley Eyejackets (Cobalt/Red Iridium)
Nokia 6110 Mobile
PalmPilot (Pro & upgraded to 8M)
Keyring (holding Comtech Stinger; Green Traser Glowring; White Photon II;SwissTech Micro plus)[does that count as 4 or 1?]
Leatherman PST II [but sometimes Swiss Champ]
... usually[but not always - this is the UK] a knife out of
[BM710/Kershaw Boa/Endura/DR EDC]
Surefire 6P for light
Night time? 2D Maglight in a carry ring for light... and whatever.
[a 21" ASP baton wouldn't hurt (me)]
Butane fuelled micro torch
Latex gloves
*Fisher Space Pen {bullet or telescopiing}*
Ventolin/paracetomol

What are these tracer glow rigns that so many people have? And where do you get them?

The glow rings are a small (approx. 2") piece of polycarbonate w/ a small vial of tritium - the glow rings glow from the decay of the tritium, release of radiation (not harmful :) ) that energizes the coating of the tube - glows in different colors. You can get them from Bagheera - his Scouting troop sells them as a fund raiser. They are very neat to look at, and help to locate keys/whetever in the dark ( i have a couple on light pull chains in dark closets). Another neat little toy to add to the key ring :)

Do a search - you will find lots of info, check the Exchange forums to see if Bagheera is currently selling any.

Execellent!!! Too cool

You are my idol. Hey, at least I have the same rigger belt! I gotta try your system. I'm carring way too much weight.

Thanks for the picture and inspiration. In one of the pics there is a big black thing with carabiners hanging off it. The giff moves too fast for me to make it out. What is that set up?

BTW, do you wear this outside of your jacket or concealed? If concealed, how do you carry your stuff when only wearing a tee shirt?

hahahaha just becoz they can stuff 26 people in a VW Beetle, doesn't mean we pack 26 passengers all the time~ :)

Morning Sidewinder~

Thanks matey, glad you like it. Too often I see posts on Chinese blatantly ripping off designs and they don't exactly make me proud. If I can give back anything that anyone may find useful, the pleasure is all mine.

As a designer I pop up with ideas from time to time, and quite frankly unless I go mass producing, you can easily make a better rig than I can, in the States. For example I just could not find, say, Nexus fasteners, nor webbings such as those used by Uncle Mike's, in small quantity~ and unless I approach a factory, the stitching would be lucky to pass even 1kn. Sigh.

Anyway, the black thingy is a Black Diamond chest harness, the rig can go underneath the harness while the pack snapped on from the outside, hence without obstructing the harness' movement~ it's a pain to set up though, heehee.

Oppps~ you got me on the tee point.:D while not wearing a jacket I can just snap and turn the whole lot into a small backpack, no point in arousing any kind of curiorsity I guess....

Originally I just wanted sth to mount my Compaq PDA. The idea just sorta grew. How about a 200W power invertor on the rig? hahhaha the kids will love it.

Cheers~

PS~ hey hey interested in a RAD/Brute/M9/Legend inspired design with exchangable metal/wood saw and a pryable stun gun sheath? Push it to the limit and it could probaly play MP3 too..:barf: But I have too little knowledge on blade/lock design, so the idea sits...

iaido, Thats the coolest thing i've seen in a long time, i've been fooling around with my emerson under the shoulder folder rig trying to fit my scanner there, so i can scan descretely.
I remember seeing an article in the New York Times about an inventor who was making shoulder rigs for computers and cell phones. Your rig looks a lot better, i bet you could produces them and sell them to all the BF members cause we all carry a lot of stuff!

Thank you Dan~

For a brief second I misunderstood the term "scanner". My home town's flooded with low level 900mhz~~2.4Ghz wireless cams, mainly used for perving on ladies (not an ambitious bunch are they?), and I'm amazed very few are importing scanners for detection. Apperantly TSCM is not a familiar term around here.

The production rig idea is tempting. Mind ticking :D

Take care~

Okay iaido,

You've inspired me to make one of these. So what do you use for parts, specifically the things that attach to the belt and the piece that runs along your spine.

Opps! I think I'm hijacking the thread :o {biteing lower lip} Sorry!

iaido - feel free to email me off list - unless others want to know too!
