Zero Tolerance 0550/0551 Goodness

My newest lady. Has plain ti standoffs installed as well. Also getting Rival to make me a digi scale for her.

I acutally won it in a giveaway here. I never used it, and sold it on ebay. Apparently part of the edge was rolled which I failed to notice. The buyer wanted to return it accusing me of purposely selling a damaged knife. I think it only made him more mad when I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and asked for pictures as proof. He probably thought I was playing dumb. The pictures showed a rolled edge so I unhappily returned it because I was pretty desperate for money at the time. I figured screw it, I'm just going to carry it and I have really enjoyed doing so.

Looking good, man! ^^^

I'm digging that pocket clip.

Thanks! Got the clip from the guy on here. Machining was a little rough so I hit it with some sandpaper and flitz. I like the design better than the original. Kinda like a Hinderer clip at a 1/3 the price.

I hear ya. I've been looking at some aftermarket parts for mine, as well. Can I get a shot of your Ti standoffs? If it's not too much trouble, of course.

Props for the low serial number!

And I'm glad you're enjoying carrying it. It's definitely meant to be used.

These have probably already been posted, but I thought I would show them together seeing as they're my first ZT 0550's.

Order of Receipt:

ZT 0550-------> First Gen with LSCF Scale and Bronze Standoffs

Where did you get the Lscf scale? More importantly, where can I get one?

Thx,
Jason

I just got my ZT 0550 delivered yesterday, and I am damn impressed. Except for the really tight detente that will break in, the knife is fantastic. This is the second ZT that I have owned, first being a 0200 that I hated, because it would eat pants like crazy.

So a few weeks ago I picked up a Kershaw Thermite, which got me thinking on a real ZT. Anyhow, here are some crappy pics.

Congrats on that 0550, Screwdriver! Just cycle it as often as you can. It will smooth out.

You're gonna love it.

I will say the one thing I have a slight issue with the the lack of grip on the pocket clip. While it rides deep, there is a looseness on it hold to my pants. It is a 180 from the 0200 that I owned.

0551 before a presentation here at work!

grownstar, if I see that that 0551 one more time.......... I may have to buy one. :D

I can tell that you're really enjoying it, by the at least once a week minimum; pictures you post of her. I cannot tell a lie, I love my two 0550's just as much! Those are 2 big hefty girls, boy let me tell ya.

Haha what can I say? When it comes to ZTs, I'm an enabler :p

ZT is easily my favorite manufacturer. Their designs are awesome, fit and finish is great and you can't beat their warranty/customer service. As for this knife, hell yeah I'm enjoying her haha. Seriously, the 055x platform does everything I need and the tank-like heft just gives me that much more confidence. Plus it's smooth as glass right now.

Oh, I almost forgot this:
