I agree with you there. I hope it's as strong as the couple of standard 0801's I've had.

Friends, forumers, knife nuts, please....Stop the petty arguments, it takes the fun out of the reading and stops any potential learning. There is no need for aggression or poor behavior/attitudes. Let's try to find the positive side of things. ZT released a model that was a surprise to me and many others I am sure, in a different configuration and materials. That is enough to drum up excitement and some degree of happiness in many, it should not devolve into something that repulses people.
Lately the level of cynicism and negativity is catching too much attention across multiple subforums, and eventually warnings and infractions are going to have to be handed out accordingly. Let's not go there, I can guarantee you it is not anymore fun for us to write them as it is for you all to receive them. Back to the knives....

Mine is due in tomorrow. I was lucky enough to get a 0801BRWCF when they were released and I think I'm more excited to get this one. I agree on the idea of stonewashed hardware. If anyone has a good suggestion on where to get that, I'd love to know.

, but it will shave hair with or against the grain with the weight of the blade. And the ser. number on mine is 0367 FWIW

What your seeing on the KC "Your Shopping Cart" page is once you go over more than they have in stock it pops up and says "Typically ships within 5-7 business days."
KC's order page is not self adjusting to what they actually have in stock like BHQ's order page.
I put in 178 and got the "Typically ships within 5-7 business days." then adjusted the number down to 3 and got the "In Stock" notification..
It seems BHQ got 37 in and KC 20 which is close enough to a 30 average to not worry about so still approximately 150 accounted for so far..

Nice catch. KC has 19 left. They probably started with 30 like most. BHQ is the only one that seems to have had more than 30 (22 left now).

Got mine, #112. If I had any complaints it's that the handle is too small (same reason I didn't like the regular 0801) and the lock bar is a little too slippery when you go to unlock it. I do prefer the unadorned blade and cleaner handles, though.

Got mine yesterday from Kershawguy. I love the 0801 and this model is probably my favorite so far. The action on mine was a touch stiffer on this than my acid wash 0801. And the detent is harder. But not bad. Just different. I was worried it was going to be a little plain, but it turns out that's what I like most about it. Love the way the stonewashed handle feels. It does give it a good grip, hard to explain. I dig this model. Another home run. Only thing that sucks is I was not going to get the 0808 until now.
