Zero Tolerance 0801S110V Limited Run

Got mine today #0111. Coincidentally, that is the same serial number as my 0801 BRWCF.

I love the looks and feel of the knife. The detent is way stronger than either of my other 0801s. I can flip the other two open with very little effort. This one is tough. I still think the "light switch" method is what is called for, rather than the "push button." Its going to take some getting used to.

Yay! Got mine today when it was supposed to be here Monday! Usually it's the other way around. Serial # 0384 checking in. I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this one. Now to find out how the S110V hold up on this knife.

I got mine and the detent is ridiculously strong. Anyone else get one with something like this?

I got mine today too. I'm not stoked though. The package was shipped in an envelope and it looks like someone kicked it all the way from the retailer to my door step.

Let me guess....... Knives Ship Free?? lol

My ZT0770 was the same way. I sent a PM to Derrick about using a box instead of a thin envelope. I won't order from them again unless they ship in a box.

He's my go to guy and he uses a box so the knife (and box) arrive safe and sound.

The knife inside looks okay, the box looks like hell.

My detent is also very stiff. But not unusable. My 0801BW is much better by comparison.

KSF shipped mine in a padded envelope and it came to me pristine. But I also live only like 250 miles away.

When I ordered my Benchmade 757 from them last week it was shipped in a box. There must have been some reason he couldn't fit the ZT in a box.

its really strong lol. I liked how the standard 0801 detent felt, but not sure how I feel about how strong this one is. Hopefully it will wear in a bit because I LOVE the overall look

Envelope from KSF - cross country, but no issues.

Back to the detent- One of the reasons I love the 0801, and the primary reason that this is my third version, is the easy and smooth action. Well, this action is smooth, but it damn sure isn't easy! I've got lots of flippers and I know that each has its own kind of sweet spot for deployment. This one is killing me and it is so disappointing because I love the knife in every other respect.

In comparing it to my other 0801s, I notice that there is a strong secondary grab/click when the blade returns fully to the handle. That phenomenon isn't present with the other two. They fall with just enough "hold" to be sufficiently secure. This one has an additional last "grab" into the handle.

Question - is there anything KAI (or someone who knows what they're doing) can do to adjust this knife to replicate the action of my others?
