Zero tolerance..the way to go?

WHOA, big fella! I wasn't trying to stir anything up. I was pokin' fun. How's about we get back on the topic, OK? Thanks. :)

I know. Thanks.

Regarding going back to the topic...They've been sarcastically going back and forth about what I said on the last closed ZT thread...How about they stop the BS...I wasn't even gonna say anything here. :)

My first ZT in about 4 years will be arriving tomorrow and I'm pretty excited. First one was a 0350, which was nice, but a bit too bulky for me. The 0392 arriving will probably be a better fit (good thing I have a few hinderers to compare it to). ZT really seems to be offering some great knives, great steels, at competitive pricing (and even not at competitive pricing, they're really nice knives). Some of their recent limited releases are getting quite a bit of hype which reminds me of rick hinderer flash sales / lotteries...which is interesting considering how big of a company ZT is.

People are just ridiculous, aren't they? Why I've seen you rag on ZT at least . . . wait! . . . oh hell, I forget. I'll have to go count them up. I'll be right back . . . ;)

Inorite?! People like to always think its about them. Heaven forbid you and some friends have a little fun. That's a big no no, the interwebz are such srs bizness.

You can be damned sure I'm going to ride this horse until it dies, and then I'm going to beat that dead horse until it stops being funny to me.

Just wait until ZT's #1 fanboy's manifesto is published!

They've burnt through Elma's steel too? Daaaang! I don't know about that ,but I've had 0 issues with my ZTs in Elmax. None with my Elmax Para2 either.

Who was it about then?

"Friends can't have fun"....Coming from the guys that argues people down on every ZT thread...Now it's about "People can't lighten up".

Chck out the Scurvy's posts on this thread yesterday...Then read the last posts. FF to today and he can't get over it.

Don't show people the farcical aquatic ceremony. How am I supposed to yield supreme executive power over all things ZT?!

I'm not those other guys you were fighting with on that thread.

Yes, you do not have any affiliation with ZT...

What is clear as day is how you ACT like everything YOU say about ZT is correct and everyone else's opinions (especially when negative) is incorrect. SO yes, peope will sarcastically call you about being connected with ZT.

Any chance you guys could Kiss and make up so we can talk knives, or at least take it to PM ?

I remember a day when Bladeforums used to be a fun place.

It still is. You just need to ignore remarks from folks who can't stop taking things personally . . .

As it says in a book I read once upon a time, resentments are the number one offender!

Hey Scurv, I've got a burger king crown for you. I'll write "King of ZT fan bois" on it for ya and send it to you :)

This place was fun at one point.

You ever have one of those days where you are sick and stay home from work. Or it is a Monday holiday. And you flip on the television and are disappointed that all that is on is terrible day-time soap operas.. and you suddenly feel depressed because every click changes you to different melodrama.. and the last time any of that drama was actually interesting, was a single week 20 years ago when Marlena was possesed... that is what BladeForums seems like any more.

Because a watery tart threw a sword at me.

[off topic = having fun with fanboi]
If I went around claiming supreme ZT Fanboi power just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
[/off topic]

ZT makes a fine knife that will do any task for which a knife would typically be used. The blades have, in the past, been thicker in general, and the knives are rugged and dependable. You can find ZTs in a variety of blade steels if you look for limited edition or short runs that have higher end / more expensive steels.

Benchmade knives are also high quality with their own style look and feel - nice knives. Typically they are a little thinner at the edge as compared to a ZT.

Spyderco also makes a high quality knife, one that is advertised as function over form styling. The quirky styling can grow on you, if you own one for a while you start to understand the reasoning behind some of the odd design queues. You can get a nice variety of exotic blade steels from Spyderco as well, sometimes in standard runs like the Manix 2 with CTS204P, for example.

Emerson makes a great knife, again with their own take on styling and blade geometry. I think no collection is complete without a CQC-7 of some sort.

Have some fun and read around the forum, as you said "get your learn on" and enjoy.

Also - start saving your money - you'll need it!

best

You should take your own advice and drop it.

Not trying to be inflammatory, but for all the "let's drop it and get on topic" you sure are perpetuating the situation.

ZT for me, opened up a whole new world of tolerances/fit&finish. Have only gone up from there!

I'd love to Dave but only one of us is actually a paying member here..

Well I don't really think that has much to do with it, I wish all that come here paid for a membership, but that won't ever happen. Here is how I see it, everyone knows you love ZT, I do too. We have an obligation to represent that company by listening to what others have to say and responding with the facts. I have the same tendency as you, and that is to get defensive. I love Kershaw/ZT as much or more than most and have for over thirty years. The negativity on Bladeforums is rampant and it is hard to remain calm, but alas we must as the fanboys that we are.
