Zero tolerance..the way to go?

Right. As many posts as he's had over the years, you'll ever read one that is negative. When a company can't do no wrong.. And half your posts are for vehemently defending it from people with questions/criticisms...................

*Before the mods say, I'm talking about Scurvy and not the topic, do read the entire thread...What was I called? I watery twat? :p And I wasnt even participating here. Monty Python?

We have just been having fun about the Monty Python stuff - and it is TART lol -

I don't want to speak for my friend the Potato Head, but I do not think his comment was a barb thrown at anyone - we were having fun on another forum with the Holy Grail posts.

On topic - what of the new ZT products would you recommend the OP check out? What Spyderco product? Benchmade?

I rely on reading here to find the cool knives that other manufacturers are coming out with, since I really check out the ZT and Kershaw sites closely and that can take time!

I found out about the K2 Farid here - that one has my eye.

Love that comment on resentments! They are pure poison..looks like there are fellow friends of Bill Dubs on here, Love it!!!

Man oh man am I torn between ZT and Spyderco for this next purchase...i think I have to get the Yojimbo 2 it just looks so sweet, amazing price and the S30V that I would like for my next steel! Thanks everyone for all the knowledge, opinions and info, it is MUCH appreciated!

If it is'nt obvious already...My motivation on these threads that become like this is to bring balance. I love KAI and it is one of my favorite brands but I equally dislike ZT bashing AND ZT fanboying. Again...Balance. Some take it too far.

Thanks.

Out of the ZT's that OP threw out there, I'd get the 0566CF... I would also suggest the 0550

You just bought a Benchmade last week, so let's focus on ZT now. One at a time, sure we can revisit SPyderco and other brands later.

And some carry a bag of salt around with them. ;)

What the heck man, why are you taking jabs at me now...I thought you were all about moving on?

Since when did me and you have issues here?

Ok.

He's talking about me knucklehead and it was hilarious.

Hehe, funny you say that...

I took it to heart and was gonna reply that hey ...if anything you carry bags of salt on these threads too :p

Alright enjoy your thread guys. Till next time..

I recommend considering a Benchmade 940-1 ,one of the Spyderco Para 2 sprints , and a Zt 801 to get things rolling.

I would recommend the original poster get the ZT 0770CF. It is the absolute best bang for the buck I have ever seen.

(nothing in the Spyderco line is comparable at that price point)

Thanks all, the more and more I'm looking and reading here at ZT I'm starting to get that itch, that rush of narrowing down the new friend! I used to really be into Tantos but started veering away from them as far as practicality goes, but the ZT0700 in S30V and G-10 Handles is really catching my eye! So are both the ZT0566CF Rick Hinderer in Elmax and the ZT0350T Tigerstriped in S30V. I love fixed blades and both the Hinderer Field Tac and Shifter are looking so sweet. Seeing as I just bought the Benchmade 375 fixed last week I think I'll def be going to a folder this upcoming purchase.

Welcoming any other suggestions for folders and fixed blades in premium alloys up to the 160-200 dollar mark!

The 0566 is an awesome place to start your ZT experience. Also take a look at the 0562. 566 = smaller and assisted.

Spyderco has some good stuff. Personally, I am a huge fan of the Gayle Bradley folder and the Manix 2 (I have a Cru-Wear sprint). Similar in fit and finish quality to ZT, those Spyderco's are nice and durable and have great steel. Also look at the Tuff. I have one on order, and fully expect it to be a beast that compares to the ZT 0560.

I really dig them. I have several Benchmades and Spyderco's, but for a production knife I feel like ZT's have the closest feel to a custom knife.

I remember a day when Bladeforums used to be a fun place.

It STILL is a fun place, or I wouldn't spend so much time here. Lots of good guys/girls here, and an occasional flare-up.
Not to worry.

Al G...I like the Busse; haven't had one yet, but I have due respect.
