I talked to them and the lady checked with her higher-ups and they said that sales tax is charged for California customers because KAI has a facility in California.

I know Shopatron is in California but that's incidental.

Good to know they were able to process it, I wasn't sure what was going on. Sometimes technology makes like a little more stressful than less.

Still no change on my order page. Interestingly, the "official post" from ZT about the sell out time says that it sold out in "4:15" which makes me wonder if that's hours and minutes, which would be far more likely than 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
 
lol They probably are going to cancel all the orders, no new update on shipment weird. It doesn't take that long to box up 270 knives lol

The ZT 0454 page did say: "Allow 7 to 10 business days for your order to arrive."

I believe 4:15 is how many minutes and seconds for all 0454 to be gone from the virtual stock. However, with the 15 minute cap on holding an item in the cart you saw them being released and back in virtual stock. There were people who wanted multiple opportunities and I guess some wanted to see if they could get one although they opted out.

What was date/time stamp of your order? For instance, mine says 10/01/2014 01:04:27 (UTC) which was 6:04:27pm Pacific Time yesterday.

Was your CC/PP charged and then credited back?

Did you have more than one order?

Was your order to a Post Office box?
 
If you were one of the first ones to check out, and they still cancelled your order...you must've tried some shady shenanigans.
