No reason the system they used can't work. Amazon makes that system work, with 1000x+ the traffic. It's a good system - the computers just need to be able to count to 272, and then stop.
 
My time stamp is 09/30/2014 21:06:42 (EST)

My order status changed from "authorizing payment" to "shipping soon" today and they charged me.
 
Time stamp 09/30/2014 21:22:20 (CST), so over an hour later than fq55. They have charged my CC. My order status is also "shipping soon". There is also this:

"Your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed. Your order should ship within the next business day. When your order ships, we will send you an email with tracking information."
 
My guess is that they would have sorted out who was getting a 0454 before charging us. I didn't get charged until this afternoon.

I was fully charged last night with my 9pm-ish order, and I haven't had any cancellations yet. So dunno.
 
You know there can be problems on the purchasers side that KAI cant control. Before blaming the system maybe check to see if its a problem on your end. This is just a general statement not pointed at anyone in particular.
 
I'm just going through my checklist:

Order confirmed via email
CC was charged in full
Order status still says: Shipping Soon

Now, waiting for the next communication from them which hopefully will be that the package has shipped including a tracking number.

Finally, no substitute for having my hands on the 0454.

I didn't get taxed. I used paypal.
 
Wow didn't realize all this drama went on lol. My order time says 10/01 @3:12 UTC and it I "shipping soon". I used PayPal and the money has been taken out. Also when I log in to shoptron or whatever, it says my order should ship Next Business Day. Soo yeah that's exciting, I assume most people will see the same thing.

Yes, we discussed that last night. I'm speaking of the official ZT Facebook post this morning which says "4:15".

I'm not arguing over 9 seconds, I'm arguing over the fact that 4 minutes and 6 seconds is an ungodly quick time to sell ~280 pieces, and 4 hours and 15 minutes (which is how the format of '4:15' would traditionally be understood) is far more believable when the website was saying that there were knives available until almost 9pm Pacific time. Either that or I'm to believe ZT took my money and the money of untold others to hold on to for a few days, get our hopes all up, and then refund our money days later saying "oops sorry, they were all sold in 4 minutes, don't know why our system continued selling them for 4 hours longer"?
