I think one of the takeaways here is don't be surprised if you try to buy a hot LE knife over 2hrs after it went on sale and it gets canceled.

Hopefully Shopatron resolves the issue.
 
I just can't stop laughing that the biggest complainer, cry baby on here has this as his Avatar... I mean.... really??

My goodness. Everyone knew this was a crap shoot at best and to keep complaining the way some are is ridiculous. This was a gamble for everyone involved at best and I went in knowing full well that there is a larger possibility i WOULD NOT get a knife then me actually getting one.

Instead of complaining next time, please just save us all the headache, bandwidth, site resources and don't even bother..
 
I still haven't gotten any email! I placed the order within 6 minutes according to Shopatron.
 
I'm in the same boat. Order went through at 9:06:42 and I haven't recieved any email. I'm going to call up KAI and see what's going on.

Don't bother they have horrible customer service. They will transfer you to a lady who is never there, it goes straight to voicemail.
 
Same here, my order was done in under 3 minutes because I've ordered from them before and all my info was saved, still haven't heard anything about when it will ship.

10/01/2014 @ 01:02:48 (UTC) is when my order was placed.

Left a voicemail. I'll keep calling until I either reach someone or I have something better to do at work. Lol

Exact same situation here. I expect the emails will start rolling in again shortly after everybody on the west coast gets to work.
 
In b4 thread lock! Here we go again with all the negative comments. It's my knife and I want it now! I am sure KAI is working very hard on sorting through the situation. Whoever honestly thinks that their customer service is horrible has obviously never dealt with them before. Give it some time, I'm sure you are all on a lost to be contacted some way.
 
BTW, I disagree that KAI has bad customer service. But if there are multiple reports of cancelled orders on those place legitimately then the affected parties have a legitimate right to be frustrated/peeved at the process. Otherwise you may want to check your bias.
 
It is definitely frustrating to say the least. ArabianKnight, that really sucks, I fear I have the same fate. If I do end up with one, I'll be very happy, if not, I'll get a 0562cf and use the hell out of it. I do hope I get one though.

How are we supposed to know what orders were placed legitimately? If you buy with your friend's credit card and it gets canceled, is that a legit order?

The only one we've seen so far was the guy who ordered 2+hrs afterwards and he was offered a guaranteed Ruby or 0392 because of the shopatron glitch.

Do NOT make, allude, hint, or otherwise make any suggestion of sales in the discussion forums. Period. If you want to buy a knife, start a thread in the appropriate place (hint: which is not in GKD).
