Yeah, at least of all the reasons for an order to get cancelled, mine was my fault. I'm sure I'd be even more frustrated if everything had cleared and I had already begun the celebration that was the "shipping soon" status before I was informed of the technical issues.
 
I received a call back from KAI. The rep said that I was one of the lucky ones to get a 0454. I am happy that they returned my call regardless so kudos to Kershaw for that.

I am of course very happy that this worked out in my favor and I pretty much told that if they had not implemented this new process I would have never had a chance to get 0454 to begin with.

I'm still confused as to why I haven't gotten any email from KAI about shipping though.
 
I still have not received any e-mail canceling or confirming my order either, still shows shipping soon in Shopatron tho so I guess thats positive.

Did you ask about why you didn't get an email?
 
No I forgot. But if I think if they charged your card and you haven't received a email you are probably still in the running.
 
Hey that great news. Congrats and thanks for the feedback. I just called and left a message with my order number and contact info. Fingers crossed.
 
Thanks, the person I spoke with was happy with the feedback I gave her. I think the next run will go much smoother and hopefully I will be able to grab a 0392 as well
 
I like how a few fanboys and a few individuals receiving 1 (or 2) are defending the big company who dropped the ball instead of an individual in our community who is understandably upset. I'm in the same boat and I've got your back Lost Cosmo!

FYI to others - my order was completed some 1 hour and 22 minutes after they first went on sale, so obviously by then any remaining stock had already been in multiple "squatter" carts, and released back to the system multiple times. So, to some extent their system worked and this debunks the idea that there were nothing but "phantom knives" left at 19:22 PDT. Lost Cosmonaut checked out over an hour later than I did, so I think it's fair to say that some time between 19:22 and 20:45 PDT is when KAI began selling knives that didn't exist (presumably fallout from the "squatter glitch").

I don't think we'll get a completely satisfactory explanation for every order that was cancelled. But I also think that by next time, they will have worked these kinks out.
 
So, is anyone showing a tracking number yet, from those that have been charged for the product?

It sounds like it might be safe to say that if you haven't received a cancellation by now you're good to go.

Nope not yet, the email from yesterday said I would receive tracking today and I'm on the east coast so it be up until 9:00pm my time until I hear.

I'll post if I do.. (or I'm betting someone will) ;)

I was told today by kai as well as the shopatron people that I was on the "lucky list" as they both put it. Said it would ship today. Now it's time to hurry up and wait.
 
All orders have shipped, there are giving me "priority ordering" on the 0392 because I could not get a 0454.

Who gave you that information? I have no indication that my order has been shipped.
