Shipping out on a Friday so that it will take one extra day. Why must you be so cruel Zero Tolerance?

My tracking says it won't be here till NEXT FRIDAY!!!!
Being on the complete opposite side of the country sure sure sucks right now, not that it doesn't suck most of the time anyway.

Mail is processed and moves on Sundays, it's just not delivered.

Oh, and I also received tracking, w00t!

Congrats to everybody who got one! and sorry to all who got your orders canceled :(

My "your order has shipped" email came through as well, complete with tracking number. The tracking info isn't up yet, though, so no idea when it will hit my hands. I'm just happy I'm actually getting one. :)

Just got the shipped email from Kai, it said be here by Thursday. One buddy got his shipped, another got his cancelled. That's not to bad. I think this has been a success. Congrats everyone that got one.

I think given the weight and materials this is going to make an excellent edc blade, anyone else gonna get her dirty?

I'm actually concerned about the brazed welds coming apart. I don't know how strong the bond is and I'm not sure I want to test it.

I would, except I think any knife would have a hard time knocking the 777 out of my pocket.. I'll give it a fair shake when it gets here though!

I'm defiantly gonna carry and use it, but my EDC needs aren't very taxing ^^; So no real getting dirty I suppose, but not going to be a queen.

Why in the world would you sign on to buy such a knife I you don't know about the KAI composite blades???

I can't wait to see this knife for real. If it's as advertised it should be pretty wild.
We'll see how dirty it feels being so close to a couple Arkansas hunters :)

With only 272 of them, I won't be using it. I have a couple knives I have never used like my rj q36, shirogorov mod 95 srbs. That's because im more of a collector. For edc 0562cf and kwaiken are just so price friendly and great quality I don't see the need to replace them. But that is just me.

Don't think you need to worry about the brazing, KAI's been producing composite blades for several years. If it was a problem you would most definitely have heard about it, especially here on BF.

Um, too pretty to pass up? ;)

Plus, Limited Edition.

I'm sure the blade is quality but my edc get abused at work by me and others, whom have no respect for a decent blade, that borrow them. It may have to be an out of work knife if it gets used, I just don't feel comfortable using a 500$ knife at work, which would be practically irreplaceable as far as warranty goes I'm assuming.

point well made pg5786

This kind of knife doesn't get loaned to meatheads. Imagine your bonehead coworker using it to disassemble a wall plate? Anyhow there is at least one video showing the process KAI uses to create the composite blade and the weld is very tough. That aside, I don't expect many will use these to cut up carpet or carve a tent peg. So the weld won't mater.
