ZT 0454 Limited Release 9/30/2014 6pm Pacific

UPS will deliver my ZT 0454 on Wednesday and it requires signature confirmation.

Thanks. Personally I wouldn't loan out such a nice knife at work. Bring a cheaper knife with you to work and keep the 0454 for special occasions or non-work use.

Based on my experience and reports from others, if KAI is unable to repair a knife under warranty they typically offer full retail value towards a replacement from current models.

PG, thats good to know. I carry my zt550 at work and it holds up well.

The 0550 is regular production and should be fairly easy to repair/replace under warranty if something happens. I'd feel much better bring that one to work every day and keeping my 0454 for my own personal use.
 
Tracking here too. And to whoever said ZT's customer service was terrible....get freaking real. They are without a doubt, the best I have ever delt with each and every time I have had a question or problem. Thats like saying Kershawguy has slow shipping. Laughable and just plain preposterous.
 
Not to be a whiner, but, $500 for a knife and $10 for shipping and they use ground? Can't even give us 3 day shipping? Wish they would have given an option, I would have had it next business day. I'm glad to see all of the shipping notices though. Who's first LE ZT is this? It is my first, hopefully not my last.
 
I'm gonna use the hell out of mine and beat the ever living crap out of it !!!!!

I'm going to use it for sure. Won't be doing anything to crazy tho.. Not too sure how secure the stop pin will be, since it's only held in place by CF and no metal.
 
You'd have to be doing someone a knife wasn't meant to do to break one of these.

Tent pegs? No prob.

If you need a crowbar, screwdriver, or tin snips...get the right tool.
 
Congrats to those that got one. A big shout out to ZT customer service on the way they handled mine not being shipped. You gotta give them credit for coming right out, admitting their mistake and doing everything under the sun to make it right! I look forward to seeing pictures of everyone's 454 when they come in. Comparison pics with other ZT's would be awesome!
