I just got this:

"I regret to inform you that, due to a technical error, we are unable to complete your order for the Zero Tolerance 0454 placed on our website on September 30th.

Frankly, we’re embarrassed by the error and extremely sorry to have to give you this news. Our web techs are working on the problem right now to ensure that this or similar errors do not occur in the future
."

I'd say I'm pissed.
I'd say I'm disappointed.

But that would such an understatement that it's not worth try to explain

I've been collecting knives, especially Kershaw and ZT, for over a decade. I'm pretty mad right now.'

P.S. I am in Canada.

Well, for anyone in Canada who scored one and is awaiting shipping info. They are shipping them to the Canadian distributor first, then they're shipping them to each individual.

I got my tracking info, and it shows where it left on Friday, but I haven't had any updates in tracking since then. Just wondering if anyone on the east coast is experiencing the same thing?

Im in Illinois and it shows the same thing. Hopefully mine will update tonight and be out for delivery tomorrow.

I got my form letter email response this morning. I got hosed... Bummer. Oh well, the world will keep turning. Congrats to those who ordered one and actually got one.

Such is UPS ground unfortunately, every customer's least favorite shipping method but every big company's favorite. Mine tells me that there should be another event sometime today, aka it should arrive from Oregon somewhere close to me.

I'm in Illinois as well. However, mine came Tuesday even though it was scheduled for Wednesday.

Hope yours comes soon!!

Same for me, left Friday no updates since then.. I don't think that means anything. All I want to see is "out for delivery" come Friday morning..!

..

The UPS driver for the area I live in is a cool guy. Last I spoke to him he was getting himself a 0801BW. I tried to talk him into the all black version, but he loves the Blackwash finish. :D

It's on a truck and not spending the night checked into shipping hubs so it never gets scanned until it reaches your hub. It's faster this way!

Scheduled for delivery tomorrow, but it showed up this morning. I thought they sent me a pair of shoes by the giant box it came in.

The knife is sweet, and the detent is absolutely crazy strong. I have to use the middle of my finger in order to get past it. The knife did come slightly uncentered, but I was able to adjust it no problem. The presentation box is really big, but I like it. The knife flips extremely well - I'll get pictures up in a little bit. Serial # 210

I'm on the east coast, and it didn't show an update for tracking until last night when it showed up in IL, I can't believe it made it to Cincy that quick, considering it took 5 days to reach IL.

Surprising for a production knife, it's sharp enough to whittle hair. The fit and finish is pretty good, although there is a lot of microscopic "hairs" on the inside of the CF. Most likely caused by their deburring process. I took it apart and was able to wipe them away fairly easily.

You took it apart? Did you get any pictures of that?

Thanks.

No I haven't taken any pictures yet. I was a little hesitant to do it, but I'll get pictures if I take it down again.

Well mine arrived today -- #306. I originally planned on flipping this immediately but now that I've held it I've changed my mind. The quality of the construction and materials has blown me away. No wonder ZT is becoming just about my favorite knifemaker these days.

When market prices hit $1500, you'd flip it, everybody has a price.

I flipped mine as the package was dropped off at my door...I have no reason to have a knife this expensive that I would never use to cut anything, plus it's just to large to edc

Well, when a fellow bladeforum member is ready to flip theirs to me (in Canada) for a 50% markup on what they paid for it... feel free to contact me.

:-(

Mine has those little hairs as well, I think they are from the pouch, every time I put it back in the pouch they come back.

This happens because the CF isn't entirely smooth (try wiping it down with a microfiber cloth, it catches a little here and there). Just the nature of CF I guess (I polished the scale on my 0562CF and it still grabs a little when I use microfiber to wipe it).
