Speas and 2bros that looks pretty darn cool. Thank you.
(I like the bottom configuration on Speas pic so far the best.)

I like the Russell-like arrow logo, but I'd suggest that the arrow go through the horizontal center of the letters (like the Russell logo) as it is bisects the B and F through their center lines and that the year be put at the end like so:

guess im out. cant pay with thoses options in iraq. oh well
. . . The reason that stag was not extra is that we had a person who wishes to stay anonymous express that they might be interested in donating the stag for the project.
As far as my personal pref., I like D2 on a small knife like this. As far as the bolster maybe the initials BFC in old English script and 2009 might foot the bill. I could live with ATS 34, but am not inclined to take the cost of these over 100.00.
I like that we can do the bolster this year and not have stuff on the blade.
On sign up, we will ask preference for Queen or Schatt & Morgan tang stamps and the majority will win. If tang stamp vote is a tie, Steve or I will break it.. . . .
How about using roman numerals instead of 2009, use MMIX, only a suggestion. Would make the end product have more of an Olde Worlde look along with the Russell style BFC.

The stag seems to be a done deal. You guys are going to have to take my word on the fact that this stag is some of the finest I have seen in 3 to 5 years for a few more days.
Not only was it offered, the person is going to match each handle set and get the back of it flat and at the right width and thickness in hopes it will not be ground on too much when put together. That is quite a generous gift of material and time.
I will be posting a picture of an example when I get one and everyone can form their own thoughts.
Wow!
Is anyone else getting the heebie jeebies (in a good way)? This is shaping up to be a REALLY special knife! If we go the stamped bolster route (please, please, please), and we want to be able to use the tooling for another knife down the road, why not skip out on the date stamp? It's not like this knife will ever be confused with another knife.
