Speas and 2bros that looks pretty darn cool. Thank you.
(I like the bottom configuration on Speas pic so far the best.)

I like the Russell-like arrow logo, but I'd suggest that the arrow go through the horizontal center of the letters (like the Russell logo) as it is bisects the B and F through their center lines and that the year be put at the end like so:

This is it at the top!! This is the one!! It fills the bolster perfectly!!
Way to go!!!!
(Some day I'll tell you how I really feel!!)

This is gonna be one heck of a knife! A must have!!

How about using roman numerals instead of 2009, use MMIX, only a suggestion. Would make the end product have more of an Olde Worlde look along with the Russell style BFC.

guess im out. cant pay with thoses options in iraq. oh well

Na, we as stated previously, I am open to working things out with folks outside of the continental U.S. -:) (I promised:)).

Steve and Gus,

Thanks again for being on the "working end" of this project! I really appreciate it. I like either # 1 or 3 for the bolster. Stag would be the preferred scales material, but if it's jigging, I'm still in!

This will be a fun one to wait for!

. . . The reason that stag was not extra is that we had a person who wishes to stay anonymous express that they might be interested in donating the stag for the project.

As far as my personal pref., I like D2 on a small knife like this. As far as the bolster maybe the initials BFC in old English script and 2009 might foot the bill. I could live with ATS 34, but am not inclined to take the cost of these over 100.00.

I like that we can do the bolster this year and not have stuff on the blade.

On sign up, we will ask preference for Queen or Schatt & Morgan tang stamps and the majority will win. If tang stamp vote is a tie, Steve or I will break it. :D. . . .

The highlighted aforementioned stated by Gus mimics my feelings in every respect.

D-2 is Great! Stag is Great! The BFC 2009 bolster etch/stamp is Great. S&M is my tang stamp preference but if the majority likes Queen better, so be it. I like certain kinds of shields better than others and if their is a choice, fine, but if not or no shield is the preference, I'll go with the flow. Serial numbers are not that important and would be more cost effective, IMO. Keeping this under $100.00 is important to me..

Gus & Steve,

I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the both of you for all your continued efforts here and a BIG THANK YOU to the fine member here who was gracious enough to donate all the STAG for this project!

The stag seems to be a done deal. You guys are going to have to take my word on the fact that this stag is some of the finest I have seen in 3 to 5 years for a few more days.

Not only was it offered, the person is going to match each handle set and get the back of it flat and at the right width and thickness in hopes it will not be ground on too much when put together. That is quite a generous gift of material and time.

I will be posting a picture of an example when I get one and everyone can form their own thoughts.

Wow!

We have a few members here that have come up with logos....that resource means that I don't have to work on it anymore.

SOOOOO....what you fellas need to do is come up with a universally approved logo...when Gus opens the order thread, we can vote on it.

The decision also needs to be made...one bolster side or both, realizing that only one side is traditional.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Wow!

Is anyone else getting the heebie jeebies (in a good way)? This is shaping up to be a REALLY special knife! If we go the stamped bolster route (please, please, please), and we want to be able to use the tooling for another knife down the road, why not skip out on the date stamp? It's not like this knife will ever be confused with another knife.

Every year BF Traditional knife has been dated.....that is not going to change.

We COULD stamp the bolster, and lazer etch the date, if the group decided that would be the way to proceed, but as Gus already indicated, whatever knife in the future was needing to be stamped would require some long bolsters.
