2009 Fishing Season PIC Thread

Not from our waters here.
This picture kind of shows what they do to the water. visibility where they were was a couple inches at most, but the other side where they weren't spawning was about 6 or 8 inches. They really dirty up the water.

I hate you guys!
Those are some nice catches!

I'm sooooo, jealous of those bosnia fishing pics!

Ikkyo: What kind of trout were those?

:)
brown and rainbow trouts.

Holy sh*t! A pyara on the fly. Is that an 8wt?

Man I love this thread. I had no idea Bosnia even had fish. It is so great to see fishing from all over the country and world. That snapping turtle pic is awesome. They really scare me. Those smallies are beautiful. Bass fishing, bow fishing, fly fishing, North America, South America, Austrailia, Europe. Anybody fish Asia? I need to do a road/fishing trip.

I need the ocean to lay down.

Here is my contribution. All fish were speared on different days in Mendocino County in the past month or so.
A collection of rock fish

First ling cod this year

My nephew and I. I m teaching how to hold his catch to make it look bigger. Those abalone he is holding are the same size.

A quick jump in the ocean for some dinner while camping. A Black Rock Fish and a 9+" abalone.

Thanks all
Matt

Here is some of the fish with blue meat. Both the cabazon and Ling cod can have blue meat.

Its hrd to tell but it is much more blue in person. Ill have to get a better pic next time.
Fresh Ceviche

Matt,
that's a 9 weight rod, but a 10 would be more appropriate.
mainly not because of the fish(but those are quite tough, tho'), but because of the strong current.
actually there are some of the nicest trout waters on the Balkans...

I do spearfishing on our holidays, too. I love being "one" with the water and all things around me.
nice cod, and abalons!

a nice li'l brown from Poland:

I felt a little of the flu today, so I took the afternoon off and went fishing. Amazingly I felt better as soon as I arrived at the lake with a spinning rod in hand. Taking a split shot, float and a size 8 bait holder hook from mt PSK, baited up with two maggots and 1/2" piece of crawler. First few casts, something was messing with my bait, then this little guy decided to show up.

Great fish fellas!

Ikkyo awesome Payara bro! I caught a bunch of Peacock Bass when I was in Venezuela, no Payara though.

Okietree, that Ceviche looks delicious! I love that stuff!

Here's a couple of the bigger ones from my last two outings.

Sorry about the cell phone pics.
I love these small neighborhood ponds, some good fish hiding in those!

Nice haul. Are those things good to eat? Nobody around here eats em.

You can eat Carp but they taste like the water you got them from so you need to purge them in clean water for a couple of days first. Bow fishing doesn't allow for this:D

They have lots of bones as well, in Australia and NZ they are considered noxious pests and if you catch them you have to kill them. They damage the environment and out compete the native fish, nasty little buggers. In some states in australia you can't even keep ornamental koi carp:grumpy:
