best wishes dipbait. You'll be snaggin suckers again before you know it. Our season up here doesn't open for more than a month.

Went back to the river camp this evening. The big girls are preparing to spawn. Black spinnerbaits and Senkos are working well. This is my biggest of about a dozen this afternoon.

That's a big Girl Dane! Great job. I have yet to get out yet, but hopefully next week.

Keep it up, I love your pics. Give the ole Baby Brush Hog a try for me. Watermelon red flake

Great pics fellas! Yesterday I went out in the mouth of an intracoastal canal that spills into the bay. Caught an assortment on 3" Gulp bait and a popping cork.

I dont know much about salt water fishing. What kind of fish are they? The flat one is a flounder.One look like drum. The spotted ones look like trout.

Yeah great fish Bro. Looks like 6 Speckled Trout(1 really nice one!), A very nice Flounder, a Redfish (red drum), and I am not sure on the other three. Maybe small Drum..

The 5 to the left of the big trout are Spanish Mackerel, Tony had the rest right. The little ones we call croakers. Pops uses them to make a chowder that is really tasty.

Cool. The little one all the way on the left made me think Mackeral do to the tail, but I nevr caught a Spanish Mackeral before..

Are they always inshore, or only certain times of the year?

Just certain times of the year. Usually start catching them in the spring along the channel of the bay. They seem to show up a tad before the king mackerel do. IMO not a great tasting fish, but not too bad if done right. I hickory smoked those today and made a dip out of em. Turned out real good. Gonna stuff and bake the flounder and grill the trout tomorrow. Flounder is one of my favorite fish, bar none.

Guys, if you've never tried the Gulp Alive!, that stuff works almost as well as live bait. My 6 year old bought me a pack of 3" minnows last year for my b-day, and we fished them under floats like you would live bait and caught fish all day long on them. Expensive compared to some other soft plastic baits, but very effective.

That's a HAWG. Good times!

I leave for Herrington Lake in KY on Wednesday. 4 days of fishing for white bass and hybrid stripers with a few of the other guys in the family. It's a yearly trip and I'm going crazy waiting!!!!

I've caught Redfish, Snook, Small Tarpon, Speckled Trout, Jacks, Lady fish and Large Mouth Bass on Gulp Alive baits. They are a great lure for sure.

Gulp is awesome stuff! :thumbup::thumbup:

Me and one of my buddies hit the river yesterday afternoon. Weather was perfect, great day. Nothing to brag about, but did get enough to fry up this evening with some cheese grits and fried potatoes. :D

You ever get one to big to fit through the hole?
I used too. It hurt seeing such a monster pike and having to cut the line. Now I drill 3 holes beside each other and break out the middle. I end up with a hole roughly 18" in diameter.
