Another example of what a Teardrop can be, this wild and crazy Wilbert has a mega-leaf shaped spear, candle-end bolster, and a generous EO notch!

That looks like it Charlie. To me anyways.2011 with a matching bar shield and ebony like 2010.

Wilbert Cutlery Co. LG3 has them made for Sears Robuck.Chicaco Retail brand 1909. Nice.

If we could persuade somebody to make that for around a hundred bucks, I'd be in for a couple of them.

I believe the thickness of the spear blade is directly proportional to the excitement of the Tradites. :D

Charlie,

Is there a major manuf. that will be able to make that one? It is nice.

Yeah, I gotta say that if a maker could give us a spear point blade like that I might have to stop pining for a sheepfoot or Wharncliffe ...

I forwarded pics, and your enthusiastic reactions to Bill at GEC.
I'll let you know what he says.

That looks like a winner to me as well. That's an excellent blade shape for me & the EO cutout would be very welcome...:D:thumbup:

I've never handled an Easy Open, but think it would be great for up here in the cold north country! Count me in :)

I agree, I find it annoying to open a slipjoint in winter when I have gloves on so I tend to keep a more "modern" folder as my primary...an EO slippy would be perfect as a primary in winter.

That blade shape is phenomenal!

I love that one too. Wharncliffe second blade and it's perfect :)

Me too - although I would like a punch even better :o
What do you all think about a bail? I think a bail is really helpful. Or at least a lanyard hole?
I want to actually carry mine...

Best,

Toenail
Scout (FULL size, not a Jr.)
Gunboat Canoe
Canoe
Cigar
Sowbelly

3 5/8 to 4 1/4 depending on pattern

Maybe a nice etched D2?

Either bail or lanyard hole works for me :)
