. I'd be more than happy to get in line for one of these --- say with one of the nicer stainless blade options others have been mentioning, SS bolsters & liners, and jigged bone. Basically a fresh version of what you have pictured.

I've been wanting one of those EO knives with the cap lifter since I first saw them in one of Corey's posts a while back. It would be great to have a chance to get an updated version with or without the bail.

I actually think the bail would be nice, but that's just me! Maybe a lanyard hole would be a good compromise.

I'm in for whatever!
Maybe I'd like to see a Peanut or a small trapper, with jigged bone.

We took 2 of the 2010 Moose and will 100% take 2 of next years, whatever it is.

My personal preference would be for something with a single blade that can be pinched and opened one handed (all my single blade Rough Riders and Cases can be). 2 blades would be fine too, but no more than 2.

A lockback would be good.

Closed length say 3 3/8" to 3 1/2".

I'd like a wide blade, like a toenail, not so much a toothipck.

Blade shape, I'd like a spear or a pointy wharncliffe, hopefully one of each if it's a 2 blade kife.

M4 would be my 1st choice of steel, then 3V, then CPM154.

So in order of pattern I'd like:

1. Toenail

2. Swayback Jack

3. Peanut

4. Half Congress

Thanks for all the effort guys!

Oooooh. EO with bail and bottle opener? Very interesting. What manufacturer could do that though?

I think we have a few that want an Easy Open. What a great and unique choice for 2011!
Who else is one board?
Easy open, easy open ,oy, oy, oy!:D

I'd definitely get behind a long-pull swedged spear and cap lifter EO knife (like the one pictured above) -- or one with a Wharncliff secondary.

Again, I would be tickled with a fresh version of this one w/ nice stainless blades, jigged bone (or nice wood), and a bail.
Less important would be SS bolsters and liners...I'd be happy with NS/Brass too.

Come to think of it, it might look even better with a "fatter" spear (more belly) like this one:

As to manufacturer...I'd be happy to go with Queen again. Otherwise, my CSC and GEC knives have all been up to par. Moreover,
I'd be happy to have the blades on this one be either CSC's 14-4 CrMo or GEC's 440c. I guess if pushed, I'd lean slight towards CSC
for this one...but I just want the cap lifter to be the Remington/SAK Soldier type (at least that's what they are called in my lingo ;) ).

Hmmm..

Now I'm picturing a CSC-made EO (with bail, fat spear, and cap-lifter) in their nice amber jigged bone, NS bolsters and liners, and
14-4 CrMo blades. I could even see a small coin-shaped shield made to simulate the back of a brass casing with "BF Trad" and "2011" as it's "caliber" (then again, I really like the shield on the one I re-posted here as well). My CSC half-moon trapper in the same clothes is one
of my favorites and a EO knife on a bail would be an excellent all-around camp/work knife indeed!

As long as we talking about non-mainstay knives, I would love to see a trapper style knife with a clip, corkscrew and maybe, a bottle opener. :) Oh, well.

With a big fat fully swedged spear blade and a long pull? I'd give this suggestion some consideration. One like this old HSB with a bail?

oh, yes! and to heck with the bail, unless it is maybe twisted and pinned, with roller bearings.
