. . . Could it be Harness Jack Tear Drop with an Easy Open? That answers the Harness Jacks and the Easy Opners

OH yes! I like this idea.. Neeman, you're a good man and a deep thinker. I wonder if Charlie has such a pattern in his collection to show us here ..?

Falah, FYI--The bail on this pattern does fold back and fourth and is really not felt in a watch pocket of ones jeans.

This pattern has potential to please everyone. A teardrop shape or swell end. An option to EO or not with the same pattern with a shield and a bail?:eek::eek: It would be pricey to have a matched set but that would be something else.

Here is a thought HOWS about an OPTION for bail or NOT!!;)(IF we were to choose the HJ EO etc.:))that is a pretty easy to add or delet item in the MFG process I would think :thumbdn:?

I think a secondary blade or cap lifter/screwdriver option on an EO would be more useful and popular than the harness jack leather punch. IMHO.

Hi folks -

I have been through the posts so far and here is the vote counts - EO has gained a lot of backing in a short time.

If this is going to be a poll & not just preliminary talk, then I"ll vote for the nut.

Hi Dave -

This is not an official poll - just the discussion thread - I tallied the wishes expressed in the individual posts.

There will be an official poll, but there are a couple of things that need to be done before we can post the official poll.

We all will have to refine our collective wish-list down to a manageable number of choices, then we can determine if those pattern-choice wishes can be met under the guidelines, (i.e. $100 cost etc) and by which manufacturer(s).

It should be fun and I look forward to seeing what comes out of the process this year!

best regards -

Looking over the suggestions so far, I am really liking the idea of the EO jack. A very unique look. If not, I could easily go for the Trapper or Scout patterns. No so much a fan of the Toenail, though.

Kudos to the 2011 forum knife team, in any case!

The single blade Jack by KH, is one of the slickest knives I have seen in here. I would be good with summin like that if the "Toenail" falls short. I have always wanted a slim single blade Jack knife between 3.5" & 4" on closed length. The blade steel doesn't have be premium for me, but if it is, I'm still in.....:D:thumbup:

Otherwise, I'd like to see a 4" Trapper w/ a long swedged clip and a Wharny secondary blade.

My original choices were a slimline trapper and a teardrop jack. Since the trapper pattern is in second place I would be happy to switch the slimline to a trapper. I like the idea of a Wharny as the second blade as well.

I really don't dig a sunfish much but I could change my mind when I see it. Anyways as for a leather punch on a harness jack I would rather see another blade. It would be way more useful IMHO.

I could REALLY go for a trapper with a warny secondary blade! I have wanted one of these for years. Steven

Happy to see this unfold however it does. :) Though I don't much fancy a Toe

The teardrop harness jack has so grabbed my imagination, I'll probably ask someone to make one up for me if it doesn't come through as the Forum Knife

The teardrop is a design that I have been drooling over. I certainly wouldn't complain about it if that is what we decide on. I've seen some incredible spear blades posted recently. I bet we can come up with something truly special.

Looks like we need an easy open trapper/sunfish/jack in a teardrop shape with a bail option!:D

Add a bottle opener and a corkscrew and you may have something. ;)

How about something like this with a bottle opener instead of the foil blade?

Found this pic of a Bartenders knife at Jay's Knives the other day.
