2012 Traditional Forum knives HAVE ARRIVED

Here's a quick cell pick of the size comparison between the forum knife and a Case full size trapper. Thanks to everybody involved, Love the knife!!

Looks like a very credible thickish knife. The shield and that bone go together particularly well, bolster and artwork are super too. Trappers just not my cup of tea these days. But it seems like an excellent group project, congratulations to all concerned.

Thanks, Will

Hey Spark, if not already shipped, you can send mine along - no engraving.

Thanks again,

My knife came with a pretty sharp clip blade in that it will shave some arm hair. The wharncliffe blade however, is much more dull. It will sharpen up nicely though.;)

Got mine today! Took me by surprise, haven't checked in here for a bit. Great job on this one. Best f&f of any GEC I've ever had.

Mine came in today and I am pleased with both of them. Handles are radiused along the length of the bone with a nice curve to the frame. The f&f is better than any GEC I own (and those are just fine). The pull strength on both the well ground blades is just right on a knife this size for me and the action to half stop and full open is very crisp and smooth. A sweet knife all around. It does have a little heft to it.

Blade grinds are what I like; a thinner flat ground wharncliff will make for a good slicer. The clip is just a little thicker and ground out beautifully.

I am so proud of the team this year who got this organized and stuck with it even through some darker times when we thought it might not happen.

Thanks to each of you. I hope you all take pleasure and satisfaction in getting these knives into so many hands. I can be very much a mush head at times, but having done this a couple of times, getting these knives out to your fellow forum buddies is special.

Gene, The label is just nothing short of jaw dropping. I really do not have words for the effort and talent you have given us. They all have been great, but this one is superlative. Awesome work that I will cherish.

GEC, Wow. What a fantastic job. Thank you for your efforts and willingness to work with us.

Finally to Spark. Thank you my friend. Know that this was a pain. You made a lot of folks happy.

Well done everyone.

Gus

Thanks Spark. Maybe we can do it again next year.
