Awesome haul! That Sunbrite looks great! I'm going to need to make a trip up there one year!

Good stuff in Titusville today. I'm very grateful to be able to attend and spend time with such great people.

That sheepsfoot caplifter jack in sunbright acrylic is lovely.

I'm so jealous of you all, it looks like you're having an amazing time! I have really been enjoying the tales and the photographs everybody has taken. Thank you all for taking the time to post them here for the rest off the globe to enjoy :)

I never saw a nifebrite knife glow, but this sunbrite glows pretty bright.

Here's another interesting thing that tempering just the tang allows: they center knives by using a press on the tang, bending the blade extremely small amounts at the tang rather than messing with the liners.

I really wish I could have made it this year, it looks like a great time. Thank you to all for sharing their updates and photos, it's the next best thing to being there myself :)

Love that 81 in oil sucker rod wood! My heart aches I couldnt grab one but my wallet is thankful for the same reason. I would have had to get a #48 (if available) as well. I may have been bumming gas money to get home.

I'm quite fond of it too. Even the inside of the springs is polished. Not to mention it's a Northfield with all the goodies.

Very nice, that was kinda what I was thinking about for my trip there, if you ever need that #81 sharpened up, send her on up for a day ;)

Well, we had the busiest day I've ever seen today at work, so I didn't get to go to the picnic. I was looking forward to it, I really enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone on Thursday. The tour was extremely insightful, and Bill and Chris and all of the employees were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and just nice. Somehow, meeting such good people at the company makes me even more comfortable with the fact that I like so many of their knives.

There was a plethora of awesome knives. I went knowing I would buy some, and saved up for it, but I still went a little crazy:

I don't know, they didn't mention so but you never know. It's definitely a scarce resource, but I think it was very well received.

I'm studying history right now, have always loved history, grew up in the oil region, and have a father who has worked in oil all his life. Some of my fondest memories are of riding in his truck listening to all of the local history he would point out or recall. So having two knives with actual used sucker rod is really as cool as it gets to me.

Had a great time today, took the tour and got to meet some very nice BF folk at the factory and picnic. I can't say enough good things about the GEC staff and how well they treat their guests.

The wood sucker rod is interesting to me. I'm working in the oil patch in N. Dakota and of course all the sucker rod is steel now a days. I wonder how they manufactured the long wooden sucker rods, how they joined them and how well it held up? Wood just doesn't seem that durable for this application.

What great knives Tim, hope you had a good time, miss being there........:(

Thanks for sharing the photos -:)

I decided to skip work today and go to the Rendezvous today with my Wife.
It was GREAT to meet a few other G.E.C. fans, and visit with the TERRIFIC G.E.C. CRAFTSMEN and CRAFTSWOMEN.
I was wrong about the hard part was deciding which G.E.C. folder to bring.
The tough part was deciding which folder to buy, thank goodness Charlie was there to help us.
Charlie might seem nice on Blade Forums, He is even NICER in person.
These two are the latest to the growing collection.
