2015 Forum Knife - It's Never Too Early To Think About the Next Blade Forum Knife

why a gec peanut?
they already offer the 25, the 22 and the conductor which are basically all in the same family

just my 2 cents ..which is probably worth less than 2 cents :D

I love these threads it's almost like picking the Harvest Queen, everyone pushing for their favorite. :) What this thread needs its more pictures. ;)

Some of us still waiting for THIS year's forum knife! How about letting this year's team bask in glory for a while?

Well said, my friend! I´m looking forward getting my paws on this years great looking knife!

How about a Schatt & Morgan Gunstock Stockman? Stainless, with maybe something different like N/S liners, a nice shield, and some special covers, maybe Winterbottom or some Queen old time jigging. I actually think this knife in Ebony with NS liners would be beautiful.

Yeah put me in the non-peanut camp. I'm obviously in the minority, but GEC makes plenty of great small knives that fill that niche for me. Plus, having them make a new design will add cost, as already discussed.

I'd love to see the 3" GEC 25 pattern with two blades. One a clip, the other a Wharncliffe. Capped end and scales of some type of exotic wood.
This would make a small but robust EDC.

Do you think there would be much support for a small frame knife? Maybe a gents knife?

There have been some who have pushed for a blade forum peanut for as long as I've been a member, and probably longer.

I too would like to see a BF peanut.

I've been one pushing for a smaller knife for a while. My take is a small peanut/Pemberton/swayback/conductor whittler, but with punch secondary, like the small metal knife in these pics. We have no punches included in a forum knife, need a smaller knife IMO, and would be great with Cocobolo or Bocote type scales (more color added to the collection). My agenda of course! I wouldn't mind a elephants toenail either!!

Mix these together:

I would like to see a knife like this with a small warncliff or sheepfoot secondary in Butter and Molasses just over 3" closed

The punch idea is getting me excited. I would trade out most of my secondary blades for a punch/awl if I could.
Maybe a Pemberton or 62 EP half congress with wharncliffe master and punch secondary?
This thread could be long by the time the knife is born huh.
