Bumped so no-one misses it!

I voted spear. I've never been much on clip blades. Maybe because when I was a kid they were the ones I always broke. :D But, if a clip it is, I'll still get one.

EE/Cigar Jacks look great with a clip blade, here's a 1911 Union Knifeworks Moose with a clip, it looks right and old enough to be considered traditional. It's different from the norm which is a Spear. Personally I prefer the Clip just because you don't see a lot of them on this pattern

I love this jigging too..

I'm partial to the spear point myself. I have to many clip points, but whatever the masses decide is good for me.

The spear is the norm for this pattern and fits the frame so well,it's a neat package.....

I voted clip.

It's subtle contrast is absolutely more striking.Makes you stand up and take notice, especially with the blade open.I like looks, everybody has one..

The Spear looks nicely contoured to the handle and well hidden, but a wide, long-pull Clip has STYLE and will give the owners BRAGGIN' RIGHTS!!

I voted Clip, but am in either way.

Voted spear. The awl covers most all of the duties a clip is best for anyways. It will be a great knife either way.

I definitely prefer the spear blade with this shape handle, but I just wanted to comment that I love the little cutout for the punch. For me that is the detail that really makes the whole idea sing.

I would be interested in getting one if it had two blades, but I have no use for a punch.I think a second blade would see a lot more use.

Charlie,

Could you please esPlain (or maybe just, sum up) why one of the above sets of images shows handle pins and the other does not, and why one of them is blue?

Thanks! :D

In a folder, always a spear point. I don't care for the clip point at all, at least not as the main blade. Never did.

FWIW, I'd rather have a sheep's foot or clip point as the secondary blade. I find that my knives are used almost exclusively for cutting. I have multi tools for all the other stuff.

I voted for the clip because I like it better and think it's less common in this pattern, but I'll be happy enough with the spear blade if it's chosen, it is the more traditional look for sure.

Thanks guys for all the efforts once again!!

If we do go spea, and it seems to going in that direction. I hope we go with something unconventional. A zulu spear would be pretty cool.
