Coop - a thousand thank-yous for those most excellent contributions.

A bit of housekeeping when you have a minute:

Post 59 # 2 - Gregory and Post 60 #2 - Barnhill have already been nominated. I will swap out your pic of Matt's knife for the one I posted.

Oh - and I absolutely LOVE that chunky Doug Campbell piece - it fits for me!

Last call gents - we will close submissions and move to voting later today - get those last entries in while you can!

Not sure if this one fits the bill, but I'll post it up and let you decide.

This is a Brute de forge style camp knife with mountain man sheath, blade length is 240mm with an overall length of 365mm.

All the best

Steve

Mssrs. Cooper, Seward et al sandbagging until the 11th hour then hitting us with a tsunami of pointy goodness, eh? Fabulous!!!:D Any sign of our German Friend, Herr Weiland, this year? How about Jean-Louis Regel and his crazy take down wootz knives? Anyone have a pic of one of those?

Veronique's piece on the right? Both stunning. 1/2 a/b left/right we will figure it out.

You are correct, sir!! Jean-Louis did a WIP on either that wootz bowie or a similar one and a kard. Pretty amazing, I tell you. Those young folks got some mad skills and they picked up quickly on the whole traditional big scary American knife thingie. :D

If there are any thread that will intimidate a knife makers it's these "Best of.........." threads.

First things first: Yes, this IS promotional. I promise a broad service. It benefits YOU the viewers, the MAKERS who have spent $$$ looking to make their work look as good as possible, AND to get extra exposure. And it benefits me and my family business. Are we good? Thank you, if so.

Weiland’s wrbsite said he’s retired now, he didn’t enter last year either iirc.

Always - ALWAYS - some great knives come in right at the end. I checked last year's thread and voting was closed on the morning of the 29th. In order to let any final entries make their way to the thread, I will do the same this year. So whenever I wake up tomorrow - and I'm an early riser - I'll close submissions and start the voting for finalists.

So makers / collectors / all members - give your friends a nudge and let them know it's their last chance to get their knives in!

And a huge THANKS for the contributions so far!

The BF high point every year....well worth the wait.......Thanks Roger....
