Just curious: what would have happened in the event of a tie? I ALMOST changed my vote at the last minute, which would have resulted in a 186-186 tie. Moot, I guess, but just wondering....Grooves would have been an entire new hurdle. Since they do not currently put grooves on the the 301 we would have worked with them to define the grooves, deep, not deep, etc. Then after that was decided, the cost would have been figured.
Well, all I can say is the knives you pictured here, (I obviously missed them earlier!) with the grooves, are a class act!!Here's the non grooved from the first post in the Dark or Light Elk Poll thread (with the dark being what was chosen):

And here's a photo of a Buck knife with grooves from earlier in this thread.

I'm not sure if we know for sure if that would have been the type of groove used since that's from an older version but thats the only example of a Buck knife with grooved bolsters that I've seen. I'm admittedly not that familiar with the brand, though.![]()
Was going to do the same thing and I was like I’m not gonna be that guy that makes it a tie ha haJust curious: what would have happened in the event of a tie? I ALMOST changed my vote at the last minute, which would have resulted in a 186-186 tie. Moot, I guess, but just wondering....

I shall drool for the grooves.
Nickel silver.I might have missed this, but: Are the liners on this knife going to be nickel silver or stainless? Thanks, Raul
Let's not visit that what if. I was scrambling today to try to figure out how to break that tie and my head almost exploded.Just curious: what would have happened in the event of a tie? Considering that it is the first time Buck produces a forum knife, it will still be a Mona Lisa.Time to bite the un-bitable bullet again
Lost opportunity for distinction and greatness - which are eternal. The penny pinchers spoil the ship for a ha'poth of tarIf somebody had said to Leonardo, save money on paint and time it's just a picture of a chick, would it be the same Mona Lisa?

Tell that to my wife! You're not married to a woman with a cast iron skillet named El Diablo! I want to keep my head in its normal shape. Without a flat spot the same size as the skillet.Come one now do you really need hot water thats badly? This is the summer time plenty of heat everywhere you go.![]()
