This might be a little far fetched but I've always liked the 700 series Buck knives. Discontinued in 2001, I wonder if Buck still has the tooling for these. Maybe some Elk or Palm Wood covers. White Micarta would look pretty good too.

Phew, sounds exhausting! Fortunately all this takes place over only the next 8 months.1.it gets mentioned and question is asked.
2.wishful thinking phase .very specific configurations are tabled.
3.will anyone do it?
3.5 long period of dark territory .
4.our hero arrives to save the day
4.5 long period of dark territory .
5.polling of choices regarding blades,steel,scales.
6.democratic final decision.
7.lots of whining and saying "im not getting one because i dont like it,too expensive, not what i specifically wanted.etc etc"
8.orders taken and money paid.
9.the winter of the wait begins.
10. Everyone else in the world takes delivery.
10.5.I take delivery of mine
11. "I missed out where do I get one?" phase begins.
12. Profieering vulture phase begins.
Did I miss anything?

We will either have a forum knife this year or we won't.I doubt there will be a 2018 forum knife being as the year is half over already and the discussion just coming back up.
The tradition is dead lol.
Since 2010 they have. The 2010 stamp started out with 10 dots and 1 dot is removed each consecutive year. Similar to the dating system that Case uses. Can someone please help me. Havery the forum knives all shared a similar tang stamp over the years?
I could definitely get behind a #14 BF knife like this!Got the 14 bug it seems
Imagine one like this in Camel Bone, Rat-Tail bolster (Barehead of course) with a swedged Clip and a Sheepfoot secondary. Not been done before, unique to the Forum, all steel construction, all tooling ready, useful blade combo. Despite being small, the 2 blade Jack doesn't feel toy-like. Yeah, all stainless would be immensely better but they won't do that...

... since folks wouldn't know one stainless from another, so the grade/alloy wouldn't really matter, as per the rules of the forum.
If you missed something, so did I. I'd be curious to know what that rule is myself.I looked through the forum rules and didn't see anything about not discussing different steels. Did I miss something? I'll agree with you so long as the stainless is decent, but I draw the line long before you get to 420J2.![]()
