Definitely not traditional.I prefer the 110's with pocket clips. So I can place the 110 in the pocket and clip to the outside of the pocket.
same here or a belt sheath. I wont pocket carry a 110. uncomfortable and awkward.I prefer the 110's with pocket clips. So I can place the 110 in the pocket and clip to the outside of the pocket.
Yes he does and I have four knives from SK within the last six months or so. Every one of them are superb! I plan on getting more this year.Isn't that what Stephen at SK Blades does? He's here asking for input on what we would like to see. The only issue is... the knives don't say "forum knife" on them BUT in his description on his website he says something like ... "inspired/designed by the "knife knuts" at BladeForums.com"
I started with some Case knives for this reason until I really got to using them hard everyday. Then I found a 301 stockman I received as a gift in 1989 and went to using it. I also had a 110 Damascus Stag I used for hunting and skinning deer. That’s when I switched to using Buck because I could expect them to keep an edge longer and sharpen just as easily. I now have 40+ Buck knives and only 10 Case knives that mostly use as a food prep knife. Now days I only have Buck in pocket anywhere I go except for a Leatherman Wave. Oh! and 110 models are pocket carry for me even the standard weight. I’m glad I found just how good Buck knives are in everyday hard use.You may be right about Victorinox, but I would bet there are more Case knives than traditional Buck knives in people's pockets. Buck doesn't make that many traditional pocket knives. I'm not counting the 110 since that is a belt knife. And you can get Case knives in a lot more places. Seems like every hardware store and farm and ranch supply store have displays. Also some gun shops, pawn shops, etc. I like all three brands.
Well, I do like the steel better on my 301 than either CV or Tru-Sharp on my Cases. Case has some great bone handles, though.I started with some Case knives for this reason until I really got to using them hard everyday. I couldnt agree more. I put the same info up in the Traditional forum. I dont think anyone has responded.Really???? I don't pay any attention to the other manufacturers here. (I spend too much what little I do)
But I would think a forum knife should be from a forum supporter! I think the forum supporters should be treated better than that! If that's the case then gec and fox shouldn't have even been a consideration!
Nevermind
It’s kinda like the bad smell coming from the restroom, everyone smells it but no one wants to admit to it and just ignore it. I have been wondering about this myself. I would think by the amount of GEC knife nuts on the traditional forum GEC would be supportive of the forum. I’ve never heard of Fox before the poll.Wow, My comments in the Traditional forum is on some serious ignore.
That' just not right, having 2 different companies in the competition that doesn't support Balde Forums??? Then here we get chastised for even mentioning a non-supportive maker or dealer?? Where's those rules again??
Nevermind....![]()
Get on over to the traditionals forum and vote for the Buck Vanguard to be the 2019 Bladeforums yearly knife! This is a great opportunity to get a custom Buck 192 for the BF community, and we get to chose the spec's.!!!![]()
