2019 BUCK Forum Knife

Berry, since it appears that we're going to be outvoted for the Traditional Forum Knife, what do you think the minimum buy would be on a custom vanguard from Buck?

While I collect and sell some vintage & LE Buck knives, I'm not an authorized dealer, however, perhaps Stephen at SK could answer that question for us. I don't see any reason we couldn't have a Buck branded forum knife as long as Spark gives his approval. There may be enough interest right here in the Buck Mfg. Forum for the minimum order required.

Make mine a 192 with D2 blade and Desert Ironwood handle with nickel trim and red& black fiber spacers. Or a 212 would be very cool as well, but SK has a D2 model in the works.

I didn't want to rock the boat, but I was wanting to suggest a Buck forum knife - there are many of us Buck collectors that likely would be able to support the numbers needed for an order.

Last years Traditional was a great treat for me - although all of the Traditional forum knives have been fun.

I would LOVE to see a 112 - as that is my preferred pattern, but good with whatever, as is usual for me.

We did get a configuration of the 501 that was talked about in the discussion of last years forum knife and it is still available on skblades skblades site. He released the bareheaded 501 w/ CPM-154, burlap mircata, & nickel silver bolster. There is a possibility that he might make his own preferred design of the 192 or perhaps another buck fixed perhaps based on some of the ideas mentioned in the thread for this year assuming it doesn't someone turn out the winner.

I can tell you Buck knives I would like to see some LE of are the 532, 55, 310, a 110/112 Lightweight Auto, 113, and 192. That list is in no particular order.

I smell a poll..... :)

I'll throw this out - how many people would like a 112 with Micarta like the first variation that was so popular with Law Enforcement back when they came out?

The 55 is also a nice knife - a little smaller than I typically like to carry but nice nonetheless.

It's fun considering this idea - hopefully Spark is on board.

Hey all! We have been planning to do our usual annual Buck Forum inspired knife. Not sure on the model yet, but we're wanting to do a fixed this year.

As for making it an official Blade Forums knife, I'm not sure we'll go that route. First we would need to contact Spark and talk it over with him. He's a man of few words, so that could be an interesting conversation. Also I think there would be some backlash from Traditional. I don't know what it would be but most likely something. I'm also not sure the numbers here would support it for the frankly massive undertaking that a non profit project like this requires.

I suppose those are some of my thoughts.

What do you all think?
