Hi Mike knifeswapper knifeswapper

I responded to the private message from knarfeng knarfeng (thank you) - went via the link on your website and checked the box for International Add-on - but it will not let me purchase as your website says it will not send to GB (and I thought that was only for knives with animal products as scales, not wood)

If there's another way this can be sent to me / I can pay you - I am all ears, sir :)

I just went through this, read the entite message they sent. You have to put GECs address in the shipping info.

I'm paid up. Thanks to everyone involved and for included me. I'm very excited to get one of these at retail pricing:)

What Snodgrass Snodgrass said: there are instructions on how you have to fill in two different addresses (one of them your real one, the other with GEC’s address and indicators that it’s for the forum knife and for international shipping) - which I filled in precisely by cut’n’paste from the instructions.

- thank you

Yes, it does say, "If GEC is to ship your knife internationally, and we were previously notified of this – please read." However, I've come on to the list to help out with the unclaimed knives, so GEC/CK were not previously notified. It's also now giving me no postal options at all, and says, "There are no shipping methods available".

Hopefully Mike knifeswapper knifeswapper will be able to assist :) (sorry for the hassle, fellas)

Edit: have had an offer from a member your side o' the pond (who has one on order already) to act as postal intermediary, if that helps at all...?

For international shipping there’s a box that you have to tick to add, from memory (because I can’t get back to it), a shipping address different from your billing address. You put your own address in as the billing address then fill in the shipping address as GEC’s as per the instructions.

At least that’s how it worked for me, and I also had come to this late and had not previously notified.

If it’s different for you, for some reason, then I guess you are going to have to ask for extra help.

You have two options; either have your friend re-ship for you and list him as the shipping address. Or, follow the instructions for international shipping in the description.

Woods are covered by CITES as well.

I would also like to thank everyone involved with making this years forum knife possible as well. I appreciate all of your time and effort and will truly look forward to putting this knife to use.

Been off the grid due to vacationing in Europe, hope all are claimed otherwise I can spread the net to the facebook groups. folks are clamoring for one after seeing the mock up.

I think they have all been spoken for. Thanks to all who stepped up to fill the void. I know it was an arduous task to have to buy yet another great knife! Really glad so many was willing to "take one for the team" :D:p;)
Will not be surprised if this is it for Forum Knives moving forward. Nothing else really to saying regarding this forum thread, is there?

I sincerely hope that its not the end of the forum knives.
On that subject, While it was a bit of a setback to have 50 people who placed orders to go mia,in true Porch fashion many stepped forward so Mike wouldn't be left holding the bag. My joke before was a bit tongue in cheek, but speaking for myself paying for a second one was no small thing. But I felt it was the right thing to do regardless of my personal budget. I dont say that to pat myself on the back, hopefully it doesn't seem that way. In a way that 50 people ducked out I feel it brought ot the best of what makes the Traditional forum so great. That is we as a whole didn't want to see one person left bearing the burden of others failing. Yes having an extra forum knife would have been nice, but I'm much happier missing out on a second knowing others who really wanted one and missed out the first time got one. All this is to say why I believe the tradition should continue, instead of 50 people who failed for whatever reason, we had more than 50 more to be willing to make it right. Thats what I see anyways.
