Glad the pictures are starting to flow there great hold me overs until my twins arrive.
Mines been sitting at my local post office since 4am this morning and never showed out for delivery so it’s looking like Friday for me.
Although I’ve had tracking say that before and when I got home it was waiting for me.
We shall see but I look at it like what’s another day compared to the journey with twisting roads we’ve all been on with this beautiful Blade Forum knife :thumbsup:
 
I was fortunate to have my copy arrive today - I was very excited! Thank you for getting this knife to me before Christmas - it is a wonderful knife. Fit / finish is superb and the beautiful wood and design just make it gleam.

I dont know much about art...per se...but I know what I like..this installation is so basic ,so minimalist and yet incredibly complexed and intricate. The Artist has subtly inserted the knife at an angle as well as off centre to protest against the complexities of modern life as though he just couldnt be bothered to look for symmetry juxtaposing the olden days sailors knife with a modern hi tech can of food substance it cries out to be anchored firmly in a harbour ....Ladies and Gentlemen the bidding starts at 76,000,000 million US Dollars.

Thanks all for the kind words about the label...I knew youd like it....as an add on for effect...if you read it out loud with the voice of a distinguished voice over man or respected newscaster... it should sound pretty good:D:thumbsup:
 
Mine arrived today (Barehead Sailors Rope Knife), a day early or actually normal shipping time for Priority or First Class. Pleased. The edge is a bit off, but I can fix that quite easily before my first use. Until then, it stays like it is. Feels real nice in the hand.

Added: I would rate mine about a "6" on spring strength and very easy to pinch open. I like that! F&F is excellent.

It came with a usable edge, but needed a little refining. Like most new knives. :cool::thumbsup:
 
Got mine today a day early! Very very nice job. GEC got these right for us. Mine is deep black. I wasn’t hoping for either. It’s gonna end up dark anyway lol. Mine has 29 triangles, so it’s one of the really really rare versions. Mike @knifeswapper must really like me. Lol! Mines pull is right about a 5.5-6 on my scale, and walk and talk is awesome. Snaps into place perfectly.

It’s not a pattern I usually, favor, carry or use much, but this one will be too cool to leave in the collection and not ding it up from time to time. Plus, I’m kind of a sucker for double bomb’s.

No forum knives were harmed in the creation of this post. I didn’t make it to the store for spam so...

it barely lit it and it was on the 5th try at least. The match strike clip point Barlow’s from the run prior to the recent run worked pretty reliably but I think this one not having the full grind leaves the match strike without any sharp enough edges to grab the match. It’s not as important as spam sliceability, but hey I think it’s interesting, or more likely, I’m super boring.

That's a fantastic picture.
5th try isn't too bad. The cheap lighters I used to buy sometimes took that many.
