I know this is a long shot but anyone that grabbed two and decides they just want 1 I'm your man!!
Until then Ill be admiring all of these great pictures. Keep em coming.

Hi pitched whining noise.
Its nottttt fayyyyyrrr...
Why do iiii have to live so far awayyyyyy..!
Noise gets more intense with each new photo.....maybe xmas eve?...could anything be more magical?...well yeah...but that'd be pretty cool.

Whahoo, my two came today. Wanted to get pics, but my boy already took off with his. I'll have to get them together for pics soon. These have slight brownish back slabs, but look amazing to me. I really love Blackwood with strong brown contrast. Little or a lot, it's all good.

And @knifeswapper, wow on the packaging. Tubes secured inside the box, and outer shrinkwrap!! Not a low cost (material or labor) way to go....but VERY appreciated. Disclaimer, I sold shrinkwrap equipment and supply for over thirty years, so I've done my fair share of it. Seldom do I see it for shipping because of the cost and labor. So very cool of you.

Well guess what showed up today? Yes, my forum knife. I did not receive a shipping notice unless it got caught in - wait for it - my SPAM folder! I get an email every day and check the list before I delete.

Anyways, pretty pleased, plenty of pics from everyone, so I didn't rush to get any. Thanks to all involved!!

... In my world that is ALOT of money....
Mine too. It boils down to nobody has to justify to anyone else here why you might sell a knife. Seems like the forum is just the place to sell a forum knife. Good luck with the truck. Christmas is normally an expensive time of the year and any unexpected expense is unwelcome and rocks the boat.

I can't see anything wrong with selling your second knife. As long as it is a fair price and I would probably only sell to Gold members or above. Not that I have an extra, just my 2 cents. I've have seen people offering up:a beer scout, a lambfoot and two separate Ocoees as trade bait on FB, so people are definitely hungry for these.

Mine is in my city, waiting for that "Out for Delivery" update ... refresh, refresh, refresh

I am in the same boat here in the Netherlands. USPS tracking went down last Friday. PostNL tracking didn't show anything until yesterday, but it now says that my package has cleared customs! The "ransom" will be €30.50, so, although I might not have one of the earliest knives, I will have one of the more expensive! I have been checking all day, but it's not "out for delivery" yet. I am really hoping it shows up today; PostNL is usually pretty efficient once customs has its time-consuming way.

Been reading over the last few posts in this thread because im interested in this knife( ordered two) ....seen a couple posts about a forum knife listed on the exchange already and i suppose thats me...Not sure about everyone elses life but i have emergencies happen, in fact a few lately and I'm sorry if i have to sell some knives but if thats what it takes to keep my household goin ill do it. In fact it kinda makes me wanna sell the other forum knife i just bought. I thought it would be good to list it on here so memebers would have a chance to get it instead of ebay. Sorry if i offended.

A bunch of other folks already spoke up but I will too. What you did isn’t flipping. Last year, several people bought two and sold the second to people who didn’t get a chance to get in. Several this year doing it. What you did ain’t much different than this, but just wasn’t planned. You didn’t make a lot of money (in fact, hardly any other than just rounding up almost) after you pay shipping, insurance and fees on it.

Normally, I’m not necessarily against flipping. I don’t like the selfishness of it, but I used to do it with hot wheels. So I’d be hypocritical to say I’m against it. I won’t pay flippers markup. But what you did ain’t flipping. What you did is making ends meet at the same time helping someone who didn’t get in on the opportunity. Hopefully they don’t take advantage of your tight spot to flip it. That, I would think a worse offense to the community here.

I'm still patiently waiting for mine to arrive. I haven't checked my tracking since it shipped. The suspense is thick.

No forum knives were harmed in the creation of this post. I didn’t make it to the store for spam so...

it barely lit it and it was on the 5th try at least. The match strike clip point Barlow’s from the run prior to the recent run worked pretty reliably but I think this one not having the full grind leaves the match strike without any sharp enough edges to grab the match. It’s not as important as spam sliceability, but hey I think it’s interesting, or more likely, I’m super boring.

I have always wondered if those match striker pulls genuinely worked. They dont sell any strike anywhere matches here due to legalities and the ones I bought in canada dont work any more. Glad to see proof of concept

I'm posting this for @rbeggs and to help clear up any confusion on what we see as flipping. Sorry you're having truck trouble, it couldn't happen at a worse time, with the holidays around the corner. Hope it turns out OK.

Hey folks, Just a note on this flipping thing. There's a big difference between having to sell a knife near cost to pay the bills and selling one to make a profit. Folks, if you need to sell your forum knife to help out with the bills, don't hesitate to do it. If you bought two and just want to keep the best of the pair, feel free to do it. Just try to sell it close to cost. I'm sure that's pretty obvious to all of you.

That said, I'm a capitalist and don't really have a problem with folks selling their property for whatever the market will bear, IN MOST CASES. In the case of the forum knife, it's really about the fact that the dealer has made a monetary contribution to the forum knife effort by agreeing to sell at a price that only covers their costs, with no profit. That's a biggie. Having someone buy multiple forum knives to sell at a profit is just a smack in the face to the whole forum knife community effort, and the contribution made by the dealer.

That's why Frank and I spend so much time keeping lists, vetting potential purchasers and limiting quantities to two knives (there were a few exceptions made, based on specific requests). There were a few that wanted to buy this year, but weren't allowed, based on their history last year. It's a lot more work for us, but it's fair.

Anyway, if you see a forum knife being scalped let us know, behind the scenes please. We'll have a "No Buy" list just in case we do a forum knife next year.
