2019 GEC 92 Eureka Jack

I'm a bit jazzed about the way these camels are looking. Interesting color variations, knife to knife.

Hope I luck out and get a lighter one.. almost white would be great. I will be happy with most the variations I've seen - as long as both sides somewhat match.

I'm glad GEC used camel on these. Hopefully we see more camel from them. Seems like they used it more frequently in the past.

My Micarta arrived today... Boy is it NICE!
F&F is well done, my example is ground nice and even, everything about it just says "quality". The micarta is really nice and has a little grip to it. The main blade has a nice 5 pull and the secondary has an easy 4 pull. Both blades 'snap' firmly into place. I like the slightly lighter pull on the secondary, I'm able to reach across the main blade with my index finger and pick the blade out easily. I don't have to re position the knife to get the secondary blade open. It even photographs well. Outstanding!

Wow, looks awesome. Very good aesthetics in a simple practical way.

Wow those are beautiful with the camel bone! I wish there were still local stores that could stock these so I could go handle them like in the past. Best way to find that perfect knife..

Yes, these look gorgeous. I am hoping mine will have lots of that dark color.
If mine has no dark to it , I can fix that. I would dip a Q-tip in Fiebing's black leather dye. Lay the Q-tip on the bench. Take another Q-tip and lightly absorb some black dye on it. Gently apply the dye on the bone. I love to play with my knives and make them more mine !

Looked at this knife and thought about it but when I went back a day later they were sold out. Got an email from knife dealer today and just purchased one with the green micarta. I think the green micarta gives it a classy look.
I think you're going to like it a lot.

I know some of you worry about GEC 'sink holes' (I don't)....
Thought you might want a close-up of the pins. I'm showing the only hint of a deep counter-sink on my knife, just the one pin. All the others are sunk about perfectly in my opinion, the dome is even with the micarta. I think I actually prefer this to the domes sticking up beyond the handle material. Makes for a nice smooth handle, nicely done GEC.

Totally agree about preferring the countersink to the protruding pins! Good looking knife there!

Thanks Charlie, I've never been known to be the smart one in the family :(
