The good side of me wants to believe that these knives went to those who reached out to GSJ and they were folks that missed out on the lolly scramble.
If only the process had been respected and handled properly like in the past, avoiding the lolly scramble in the first place. We've never had to trample over each other for a forum knife before, and it's pretty disgusting that we had to do it now.

I agree, and I think this mess might well be the demise of the traditional annual forum knife. Don't say that out loud though, folks might get angry.

I was one of those (had no internet on the scramble day due to hurricane ida). I used the code, place order. The email mentioned nothing about available to public but also didn’t say to mention my BF name (I did anyway). I have not gotten shipping confirmation yet, but I know he has another 250 coming in or so.

That is heartwarming to read, thanks for the response.

Even if everything was on the up and up, and it all turns out okay, the scramble and overall process is not something the bladeforums name should be attached to. Essentially, this dealer is trash and so is the way he conducts his business. Ain't no knife worth putting up with that.

Careful not to weaken an accurate argument with incorrect assumptions based upon incomplete information. That’s happening across the various threads. Viewpoints I fully support are being advanced by statements later proven to be flat out wrong. Will not give examples, if you’re wondering, read the threads.

Could you be a little more vague?
