Come over to Facebook, I will introduce you.Gonna need you to cite your sources that these are good people.
Well, keep it on the topic here. That would help, don't you think?True, edited. This is starting to feel like a Whine and Cheese thread instead of a Feedback thread.
Edit what? I already deleted your quote.Might want to try that edit again. I'm keeping content in the appropriate threads/subforums per forum rules.
After you...Well, keep it on the topic here. That would help, don't you think?
So no sources you can cite?Come over to Facebook, I will introduce you.
He probably would not want to cite some of the negative comments that were made, about Bladeforums and its members having the audacity to be irate about people from the Facebook pages who joined up just to get knives not meant for them, and the comments about how forums are "old fashioned" (among other things), and how the FB slipjoint pages are "much better". Those comments probably wouldn't endear many here to these new folks, nor the older members of those pages who were telling people how to come over, get their post count up so they could be eligible. So no sources you can cite?
You can come over too, I will introduce you as well. It won't take long though, most are already here.He probably would not want to cite some of the negative comments that were made, about Bladeforums and its members having the audacity to be irate about people from the Facebook pages who joined up just to get knives not meant for them, and the comments about how forums are "old fashioned" (among other things), and how the FB slipjoint pages are "much better". That isn't necessary, I'm also a member of those pages, thanks. I saw the comments that were made firsthand. You can come over too, I will introduce you as well. It won't take long though, most are already here.
Tell you what, if they're all good guys they can hang out here for a year, get to know the community, participate here, tell us what knives they dig and why and then, when another forum knife comes around, I doubt a single soul here will have any issues with them ordering. Heck, if they really are good guys, I'm sure they'll offer their Bladeforums knives to the longstanding members here that missed out on the scramble at cost. That seems like a very good and easy litmus test, doesn't it? You get a list of them willing to do that and I'll welcome them with open arms. You can come over too, I will introduce you as well. I didn't see any in my group, but I'm sure they are out there. There is more than one group and I miss quite a bit of stuff. That isn't necessary, I'm also a member of those pages, thanks. I saw the comments that were made firsthand.
I'm not here to debate whether or not the comments I'm referring to were made, because they were, in both groups. I don't have an issue with any of the members of either main GEC group, and have done deals with several really good guys there. While there were only a few folks who actually were denigrating this place and the membership for wanting the knives to be for our members and not collectors who don't even like this forum, I recall there being plenty of "likes" on those comments. And then the other comments made where people were asking "OK, so how do I get one", and being told what they had to do in order to meet the (exceptionally lax) requirements, in effect, gaming the system, is where the issue lies. I am concretely sure you saw the several guys the day of the drop who were bumping old threads that friggin' day on the Porch to meet the requirements, so they could place an order. That many of us were going to have an issue with that should be of no surprise.I didn't see any in my group, but I'm sure they are out there. A couple of things. I'm not defending anyone that cut in line, I am saying they aren't ,for the most part, flippers. Secondly, most are already here and have been for over a year and qualified for the knife. By the way I have already offered up my knife for whatever that's worth.Tell you what, if they're all good guys they can hang out here for a year, get to know the community, participate here, tell us what knives they dig and why and then, when another forum knife comes around, I doubt a single soul here will have any issues with them ordering. Never tried to debate it just said I did not see it. If the requirements are lax the system is not gamed, the system is not adequate. Once again not defending any "interlopers" or line cutters. Just say Facebook groups don't= flippers.I'm not here to debate whether or not the comments I'm referring to were made, because they were, in both groups. If they're not flippers and they've been here for over a year then they're explicitly not who this thread is talking about. Which makes your defense of them nonsensical and unnecessary.A couple of things. I'm not defending anyone that cut in line, I am saying they aren't ,for the most part, flippers. Repeating the same thing over and over is not a discussion and unnecessary. If they're not flippers and they've been here for over a year then they're explicitly not who this thread is talking about. Which makes your defense of them nonsensical and unnecessary.
Yes, but when someone seems incapable of grasping the point it can become a necessity.Repeating the same thing over and over is not a discussion and unnecessary.
Facts. I bought the 2019 86’s from Facebook so apparently flippers been flipping from BF since then at least paid 300 for it the week it was released. I’m sure that was at cost.A number of you who are mad at the new people, are really just mad because you couldn't get 2 and flip one.![]()
